Heh, I loved Carry On Night. But I listened to it SO many times that I got tired of it.. oh well. The remix of it, Dub's Old Gamer's Mix I believe, was interesting, but I got bored of it faster than I did with the original. I wish Ryu* had tried remixing it instead..

Even though the Engrish was bad in Baby's Tears, I really liked that song >_> But Rx3, just stick to the JP version >_< Double Loving Heart.. hmm. It wasn't a favorite of mine, but I didn't completely despise Saya's vocals.

This might be true, but it was really the parts Sayaka sang that killed it for me. Well, at least it wasn't as terrible as her awful version of Graduation.

Nifty. As far as your question goes, Shoichiro Hirata is a composer who has been around for a while now: He's used a variety of pseudonyms including Sho-T, Shawn The Horny Master, DJ Spugna, SHO-1, and a few others. As far as a familial relationship goes, I'm not entirely sure, though.

Okay... this is one thing that's been eating me at the back of mind for a while...

But does anybody else apart from me think that Tatsh is one of the most overrated composers in the whole bemani roster? D: I have had some conversations with some rabid Tatsh fanboys that it's not funny - and I've noticed a trend...

1) If they're DDR fanboys, they base it SOLEY and I mean SOLEY on Xepher.
2) If they're IIDX fanboys, they base it on Zenius-I-Vanisher, GENOCIDE or the ever popular Xepher.
3) Anybody notice that all those songs have accompanying MAYA videos? I mean, Sphere should have gotten the same love as Xepher - but the only difference is that it hasn't got a shiny video.

I'm not saying that Tatsh is a bad composer or anything like that, but I do think that he's being distinctly overrated. :/

Yeah, I'll admit that's true, but I do forgive the people that admit to being fanboys. I guess I'm also glad that I don't fall under your definition of a Tatsh fanboy as my favorites from him usually include Junko Hirata and I'm one of the 5% of the population who likes Sphere more than Xepher. Oh yeah, and I absolutely love the cheese of RED ZONE.

I have to agree - Love Again and Double Loving Heart are high on my list. I also lean more towards Deep Roar than Red Zone (probably because people play it on Supernova so much ><).

For me, both Sphere and Xepher are pretty forgettable - Genocide and Zenius -I- Vanisher as well. So far, the only Tatsh song that I enjoy that doesn't involve vocals is 冥.

1) I must admit, Xepher is not horrible, but it's definitely not his best. I also do not consider myself a fanboy. [although others may disagree]

Now that I think about it, I have gotten tired of most of Tatsh's music.. Blame it being on my mp3 player for, like, 4 months.... Since I have low capacity, I change regularly... Tatsh music being an exception... =/

While I do agree that the fanboys/girls can get annoying I still have to admit that I've actually liked just about every song Tatsh has done so far. Well, except for maybe GENOCIDE and Venus (sorry, kanna!), which were both mediocre. Still. He's no Yoshitaka, though.
