Marketplace Rating: 4 | I chose DDR because personally, I find it to have the funnest steps and music of the bunch. That and it got me into rhythm games, so that helped secure my vote. Can't forget my roots.
My pad experience with Pump is limited at best, but I find it pretty fun too (PIU Exceed US is one of the best rhythm games that has seen a stateside release). However, I don't care much for it's music except for the BanYa stuff. That said though, I look forward to playing more Pump in the future and hopefully, even picking up Doubles someday.
Finally, there's ITG. If it weren't for ITG2, I would have ranked ROXOR's brainchild second. ITG1 had some really awesome music, and a variety of really fun Hard and Expert charts. ITG2 in my opinion, threw all of that out the window. Aside from a dip in musical quality, most of the songs I've played have steps that I find annoying and uninspired. Here's hoping that ITG3 gets the series back on track.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I chose Pump it up as my favorite for several reasons. For one the music in Pump is most varied out of the three and most catchy IMO. Of course the fact that each song has it's own individual video enhances both the song and video, like they were naturally made for each other.
Another reason is the fact that you don't necessarily have to play a song on Crazy or Nightmare to enjoy it, as opposed to DDR and ITG, which IMO, was made to be more of a challenge than actual fun. Although Pump does blend difficulty and fun the best out of all three I personally think.
And last, after all these years, Pump it up hasn't been ruined, overhyped and totally lamed up by the media like DDR was, so it's not like you'll ever have to worry about being embarassed if you're caught playing Pump it up.
That and the fact that, while there are mods to show off with, all one would need is the speed code and they're good to go.

I remember one of my brother's friends saying that DDR was the best game ever, so I got DDR Extreme for the PS2 for Christmas way back in 2004, and I was instantly hooked. Soon after I bought DDRMAX2, then DDRMAX, DDR Extreme 2, and DDR Konamix, and I am currently saving up for a fliptop mod for my PS2 and the Japanese DDRs and the Dancing Stages. One of the main reasons is the music. I absolutely adore Bemani music, and I have most of the music from DDR on my iPod. In the end, I just couldn't stray from DDR, because I'm just plain used to it.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | DDR: This game got me hooked, but new mixes were few with only a handful charts that could push my limits after a while. I grew bored of the 9's and Maxes, and DDR became nostalgic to me. I still enjoy playing it, and SuperNova may revitalize my passion for it.
PIU: I managed to get good enough at PIU to see what it was about. I enjoyed fast step patterns with turns and the like, but nobody ever really hung out at the machines near me, so I continued to gravitate more towards DDR's social scene.
ITG: When ITG came out the amount of time I spent playing DDR had become occasional at best. ITG completely revitalized my passion for dancegames. I listen to 95% Electronica-genre music, so I loved higher percentage of it in ITG. So far there has ALWAYS been stuff in that game out of reach for me, so my drive to get better has remained on the afterburner (which is currently burning through the 12's and FA-ing 10's - I LOVE H.O.T.N.!). Most of all, a large social community sprung up around the game and immediately kept me glued to the arcade, especially since it is so easy to share scores and play edits.
ITG definately has my vote.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I chose DDR because I'm so used to DDR. PIU is confusing with the diagonal panels plus the middle panel. ITG is confusing with the use of hands on the panels.

They were using hands years before ITG.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I voted for DDR cuz it's the only Bemani game that's close around here for me to play.
I've only played PIU maybe 3 or 4 times but it doesn't catch anyone's attention to it.
ITG is the only one i haven't played yet but i know where there IS one but it's too far away for me to go to... :P

Marketplace Rating: 0 | PIU got my vote. I still have a love of DDR, but since all the idiotic newer people came about (2004 and on) and the annoying weeaboos, I decided to move on. ITG is an okay game for 4 panels, but Im not that close to one.
Pump gets my vote mainly for the good music, namely the k-pop (which I discovered a bunch of kpop artists). Also, it has better steps and alot harder songs in general.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | DDR got my vote, as another poster said: it has fun steps without being too hard. PIU gets my props for having modifiers, hands, mines, and for being original before DDR picked some of that stuff up and ITG was even in anyone's head.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I picked ITG because the difficulties are still challenging to me, and I really like the scoring format as opposed to that of DDR. DDR is still fun, but the songs got pretty easy after a while and i grew bored, and it doesnt look like anyone will get supernova in my area anytime soon. I've played pump once or twice in orlando, but in my area you have to pay $1.50 for a game (3 songs), and the cabinet is located right next to shooter games, so you cant hear the music.
