Favourite Difficulty to Play 9-13

Well, I think the title's pretty self-explanatory. I'll give my opinions on each and how I like playing them-

Nines: I love nines. They're my favourite to play, no question about it. The difficulty is just easy enough for me to score well and just hard enough for me to feel challenged. Did I mention that most of the nines in DDR and ITG are some of the best stepcharts each game has? It's true! I also get a big kick out of making nines, they are probably my favourite to create.

Tens: Probably tied with 11's. I don't really play more than one ten per set unless I'm trying to push my stamina or score on certain songs with only a set amount of songs left. I like a lot of ten stepcharts, and I really like making them, too.

Elevens: Same as with tens- I don't play more than one in a set unless I'm trying to push my limit. However, I think a lot of elevens are really amazing. Clockwork Genesis and Xuxa are some of the best stepcharts to play, ever. This is a great way to end a set as well, as it keeps you riled enough for your next set without draining you.

Twelves: This is where I start to get a little wobbly. Some twelves are really great, like Tell, Bloodrush, and Euphoria. Some of the others though are just tiring and kind of a pain to play for me. I usually don't play more than one in a day, but I've been known to whore Euphoria... =\

Thirteens: I haven't even passed one.

Definietly 9s. They don't tire me out (for the most part) theyre usually very fun IMO and in many cases theres a big difficulty leap from a 9 to a 10 chart

10s are my second favorite. Usually tiresome but I feel good passing one with a good grade.

11-12 I can only do on keyboard and I don't have as much fun with them. I like long streams without jumps, and the difference between a 10 and 11+ stepchart in SM can be jumps.

I can't even do 13 footers on a keyboard decently.

11's. They are like perfect for me. I'm not too tired, yet I'm pouding out some decently hard steps. 11's are great.

9's, cause i can't do 10's (unless thier like Sakura...) and 11's and above looks impossible on for for me...

Edit: 8's can be pretty fun too. Don't get you too tired, and sometimes easy

10s are fun on pretty much any rhythm game I play except IIDX. 10s on DDR like Xepher and PARANOIA survivor are fun to play, ITG 10s like Anubis and Remember December are good, and I'm sure there are some good PIU 10s, I just can't happen to think of any offhand. (Is La Code de Bonne Conduite CZ a 10?)

11s are fun for me. I can only get one 12, and 10s are usually too easy, but 11s fall into a challenging yet do-able spot for me. They are challenging endurance wise, but can be done without failing because of my bad stamina.

12's for me. If nothing else, they help build stamina (yay for Hardcore of the North)

Personally, I feel the difference between 9's and 10's is much greater on DDR than ITG.

I tried Vertex^2 on Hard for the first time since I can remember. I still get 80% through the song then die. Maybe i'll try it on Mini next time. Maybe i'll just play Zodiac.

I'll stick with my 9 vote

I like how the topic goes straight into DDR / ITG with little warning (yeah, I know, this poll wouldn't make much sense in the context of just about anything else, not the point.) I guess I'd go with 9s, or 8s. I have no stamina you see. Someday I may pass a MAX, but I don't see myself ever going beyond that.

In IIDX I'd probably say 10*s. Doable 11*s are fun too though.

I find myself addicted to 9's and 11's. There are a handful of 10's I enjoy, but for some reason 9's and 11's stick with me. <3 Monolith and V^2

For ITG, I like doing hard 10's the best because they usually provide a nice challenge with lots of runs, and I'm still able to score pretty well on them (well, I'm quickly progressing). Part of the reason for that though might be because most songs in that range (Hillbilly Hardcore, Know Your Enemy, Soapy Bubble) are among my favorite songs in the game. The same applies to most 11's (except harder ones like Monolith and July), but I like the Hard 10's better musically, so I voted that. I like doing 12's for their great challenge, but they can burn a lot of my stamina, so I usually only do a few per trip. 9's are good for getting high scores on, but they pose little challenge and I'm certain to pass them, not to mention I'm currently breaking into the point where I can ** 10's, and I'll be sticking with that until I'm ready to go for ***'s on 9's.

11s, cause they arent too tiring, and I really like some of the charts. Some of my favorite songs(musically) also just happen to be 11s(hardcore symphony).
