Has a bemani or any other music arcade game ever crash on you?

I played on a Max 2 about 3 - 4 years ago, and of course it was bootleg, and during Witch Doctor, it just stopped running. That's really all.

It happens a lot at the place I go. Once, it happened to me while I was doing the Demon Road 2 Oni during the beginning of Kakumei (the last song), but it didn't have the misses. I knew I was doomed when it was about to start speeding up.

There was one rare time when it happened twice in one song. I believe it was Fantasy (the easy one), and it froze for so long that the speed up couldn't even compensate. The arrows went ridiculously fast even a dozen seconds after the song finished.

i remember 7 years ago when i was playing one of the songs of the first guitar freaks, it suddenly suffered some random crashes: bgm skips randomly, notes are scrolling too late making it off-sync when playing, the song's video is showing its scenes randomly.

A DDR EX machine not far from our place crashes everytime you play an old song.

It's the DrumMania tenth mix beside my school... They just changed the location, and for some reason, when a new person put a credit, it hanged...

So whenever someone tried to put a credit, all the people would shout "NO!"

DDR 1st Mix and DDR 2nd Mix Link Version are no strangers to technical malfunction.

Slow loading, freezing notecharts yet song still plays and all other errors that come in.

Nowadays, this doesn't seem to happen that much (last tech error I experienced was during DMX 1st and 2nd Mix)

A Pop'n Music 6 machine once froze when my little brother played it. I know he had finished a song, but when I was waiting for a turn to play Guitar Freaks V2, I looked back at the Pop'n Music 6 machine, and it said "DVDRAM READ ERROR", or something. I think it was making a siren-like noise. When I looked at the machine again, after playing a round of Guitar Freaks V2, it was working fine, which I was able to play without any difficulty. That was one weird machine. I guess it needs an upgrade.

i play at green valley ranch casino in vegas, and there are certain songs on their extreme that make the game freeze. it sucks. but we just turn it off then turn it back on.

Just yesterday ITG2 frooze while I was waiting to play beatmania. Not Cool. I got my money back though, and the machine was fixed instantly.

Also I went to gameworks like a year ago, and the Guitar freaks Machine had an error code. That was fixed very quick too....

... I am pretty used to machine crashings. When you have a PIU Extra near your place for a long time, you quickly get used to its really stupid errors (including, of course, the "frozen screen of death").

It also happened once with a Percussion Freaks machine around here. For some reason, after beating the 1st round, when you get to select the song again, you couldn't hear the preview track, and when you selected one song, it didn't respond anymore. Only happened once, so iono if it's something common, or a sui generis.

beatmania IIDX 14 crashed on me on Thursday. Not cool yo. I will have a picture of that soon. Its on my camera, but I cant do anything but post right now on forums due to the fact that I am putting songs onto a flash drive so I can play them while I wait in line for beatmania.

I made an SMcab crash by trying to load the ITG tutorial stepfile, and it still has the occasional hiccup now and then.

The DDREX I modded to be a Stepmania cab didn't so much crash as it did stop booting, because it has a dead RAM chip.

In a totally unrelated note, has anyone experienced lag while playing SN? Sometimes when I play really hard songs or really fast songs the screen goes black for a second before coming on?

And also, during MAX 300 (SMMM) the screen went UPSIDE-DOWN. I laughed and failed miserably. The arcade manager had to come down and reboot it :P

Tis also happened to me arcade, too. I was a witness, watching some people play DDRMAX2 back then, and the arrows froze, which caused some question to the witnesses and the players. 30 seconds later, FAILED.

lag usualy happens only when you upload a new song to the game, and its the first time you play the song. otherwise your computer is not up to date, and is to slow.
