IIDX or Pop'n Music?

First, this is not meant as flamebait for fanboys of either game. It's a thread (mainly) about IIDX.

I've been stuck at level 6-7 for a long time, and IIDX just doesn't seem that fun. When you first start the learning curve is steep and it's not that fun, and then you finally get better and it's more fun for a bit but then you find yourself stuck again and it's just not that fun.

I've been playing more Pop'n lately and it seems like the fun version of IIDX. Like Guitar Hero to Guitar Freaks (sorry GF lovers). Even when Pop'n is easy it's fun to play, IIDX isn't. And the learning curve is so much smoother.

Anyone else feel the same way?

(yes this is just my opinion so it's okay if you think I'm wrong, and I added a poll as an afterthought, this isn't a poll thread)

I prefer IIDX, I dont like pop'n music because its kidish.

I have played IIDX for 7 months and already on 10's hyper 9's another (n00b) but just bought minicon and am playing pop'n...and I still like IIDX the most but have been playing pop'n more lately.

I play and love both. They really have a different feel to them, so they're decent to trade off when one gets stale.

For the longest time I also always felt like Pop'n was way easier to time and comprehend, but apparently a lot of people feel the opposite way.

IIDX also doesn't have as much focus on notechart structure, at least from a player's perspective, because the use of Random won't ever make a song physically impossible. If you use your elbows to play Pop'n you can sort of use Random, but it actually makes the game much harder in mose cases. (Notable exception being Classic 4.)

I like IIDX, it's manly. Not like Pop'N.
But mainly just because I'm better at IIDX XD

I'd like to remind you of a few things.

In IIDX: So Fabulous!!, Remember Me, Tell Me More, IIDX16 EMPRESS

In Pop'n: I'm On Fire, jack, Sa-Da-Me, Psyche Planet V

Musically they're about on the same level, haha.

I prefer Pop'n, though the music in IIDX is slightly better.
It is more fun to play, and easier to learn, in a sense. I had fun the first time I played where as if I tried IIDX for the first time, I sucked horribly.

I like the concept of both games, but it seems PoMu is easier to play. I've seen someone play a really hard IIDX before and it seems complicated in its execution, plus I've tried simulating IIDX and I fumbled a lot with it.

I think if I ever see both of these I'll try PoMu before I jump on IIDX.

Well, he does live in Peru...

Anyways, I haven't played Pop'n Music yet, but it looks like a lot of fun. Plus the music seems to have more variety.

Both IIDX & Pop n Music are really good games..
I like Pop n Music more..But IIDX comes pretty close in beating it for me.
