Everything.

Though music is most important, because I'm not dancing to something that sucks. Then the steps, because even if the song is good, if the steps aren't enjoyable, it doesn't make a difference. Then graphics, which still matter a lot to me, but they aren't a necessity.

Music and Steps are most important.

But I choose music a little bit over steps...

If you hate the song, no matter how fun the steps are, you can't play it.

But if you love the song, even if the steps are crappy, you'd still enjoy it..

Unless of course, that song had a crappy cut..

the music is always what i look for when i'm looking to buy a new mix or something... never the steps or graphics.

i don't really care about the graphics... they just make me go 'wow that's cool' and stare for a few seconds, then i do the song.

the steps are secondary. without good music... the game just sucks. without good steps... people *may* complain. there's a pretty big difference there

All 3 (Music, Steps, and Graphics). As always, they should be in harmony, or be like SuperNova.

Music.

It's better having something like Trim or TRIP MACHINE on the background instead of something like.. well... some SLAKE crap?

Good music, followed by good steps. I don't worry too much about graphics as most of the recent DDR games (especially Extreme) look like crap outside of the music selection screens.

The music is definitely most important. That's why I like DDR so much better than ITG.

1st. Music
2nd. Step
3rd. Graphic

As you see above, Musics is the most important in dancing games.

I used to think that the music was most important, but after a while I've come to pay more attention to the quality of the steps instead, having some particular favorites in the music category, but not really caring about it anymore in general. I think this is mostly because I design StepMania simfiles more frequently than I actually play DDR, which has gotten me more interested in step creativity and originality more than ever before.

I like having nice graphics because they give the video game a far more appealing environment, but judging a game mainly based on its looks isn't enough to justify whether it's good or not.

No matter good the music is, horrible steps will keep you from playing it a lot. Doesn't mean you won't play it at all, but a lot less frequently. Although, horrible music but awesome steps will likely make you stay away from teh song, no matter how fun it is. So, I think the music is probably most important, but steps are very close behind.

And graphics are next, because you don't want to be blinded or thrown off by the background.
