I really do not understand the "hush hush" that is going on in this thread.

For me to go to this show, I would have to buy a plane ticket, book a hotel room, and somewhere in between find transportation. The way some people talk it seems they are assuming that this is a stroll to the local supermarket when in fact its a trek for me and a lot of other people, a costly one at that.

That said, I cannot make a wise decision when people say "oh lolololo you probably wanna go

". With my luck, the special guest is going to be something like Kyle Ward, in which case I will be REALLY pissed off that I spent x00 dollars to go to a freaking anime convention.

Have some courtesy. Say what you know or don't say anything at all.

generally when people do that it is because they were only told what they know under agreements to not say anything (sometimes, legally binding agreements)

Even if that were true, it's more reason not to post or hint towards things.

I've just seen things on places like M-Project's twitter in which he states that "This year, a large amount of people are going to Chicago." which means that a lot more people from Japan are most likely to be going. And he's sort of implying that he's going as well. I've also seen hints on places like some of the blog entries from people at AVSS saying that they're preparing for something overseas. If that's not enough of an indicator for some people that there will be some pretty good guests there, I don't know what else.

I'll confirm right now that we've made booking arrangements with 7 J-Core acts and 2 other guests for the mydjsobad organized party. The reason for the "hush hush" nature is because we have not yet booked airfare, and until that happens nothing is truly confirmed. That is scheduled to happen this week, once it's done we will announce our lineup. If you thought last year was awesome I PROMISE you what we have in store for this year will blow it away.

I know who you guys got and people should be pleased.(I hope) I helped get a big name from Japan but that didn't go so smoothly, you'll see him next year.

One thing I have to say about it is that unless you have a car, or are willing to pay way too much for the hotel food, or bring your own food, you can easily just starve all weekend. There doesn't seem to really be a lot of choices in close range of the hotel and con center, and last year I remember a distinct lack of eating anything the whole time I was there.
