There will be two seperate tournaments this day, one on Extreme and one on SuperNOVA (minor chance it might be SuperNOVA 2 by the tournament, but probably not).
Entry fees are $12 for each tech event and $5 for each side event. $25 will enter you in everything you want.
EXTREME (tech)
-Double Elimination
-Split Divisions
-RanaDP - (Perf+OK)*2 + Great - Boo - (Miss*2)
-Qualifier will be announced and shown to all players day of the tournament
Extreme will be composed entirely of edits written by myself. There will be at least 50 edits of various styles (7s, 10s, sorrow, one or two ITG-style charts). No chart can be selected more than once in the first round. A list of which songs have edits and their foot ratings will be available the day of the tournament. 10s cannot be selected in the first 2 rounds.
SuperNOVA (tech)
-Single Elimination
-Split Divisions
-Machine Score
-Random seeding (?)
Each player will pick a song with a third being chosen randomly from a program or by using the machine's Roulette. First player to win 2 songs wins the set.
SuperNOVA (challenge)
Players will compete in individual events designed to challenge them in ways beyond normal Tech (Example: attempt to fend off another player hitting you with a balloon while playing). Specific goals/events will be announced at the event.
Freestyle (if there is enough interest)
Freestyle can be performed on Extreme or SuperNOVA. 5 players will be randomly selected to judge the freestyle competition. Judges will grade the freestylers on the following:
Creativity (did they do anything surprising - 20 points)
Originality (have you or any of the other judges seen this or anything like it before - 20 points)
Crowd Response (how did the people watching like it - 20 points)
Technique (did they LOOK GOOD - 40 points)
The highest and lowest composite scores for each person/team will be thrown out. The remaining three willl be averaged together (ex: the five judge scores are 57, 78, 49, 83, and 88. 49 and 88 are discarded, and the remaining three scores (57+78+83) averaged together to equal 72.6)
Freestyles cannot be performed on Beginner. Any modifiers are allowed. If a player fails the song, they will lose 1/3 of their score. If a person would like to freestyle on Extreme to an edit, the results screen must show at least 60 steps.
****I WILL BE ADDING MONEY FROM MY OWN POCKET TO THE PRIZE POOL (at least $100 to first place) TO ENTICE MORE PEOPLE TO SHOW UP****
