Cinco De Mayo? Nope, just a coincidence! This is going to be a pretty low key event, not like last march with all the setup and the hoo-ha and stuff. Mostly just a little tourney to give away some fun prizes and Minnesota Pump Crew T-Shirts (same as logo above on back, 6-8 inches across, and another logo on front)!
Heres how it will go down:
Mix: PUMP NX, on a DX cab.
May 5th 2007, at the arcade in The Park at Mall of America
Signups and stuff starts at 1PM, Tourney commences at 3PM sharp.
Entrance fee: TBD, probably $5, which will probably also count towards a MPC t-shirt.
Prizes: Money, MPC shirts, Official Pump merch. Estimated total retail value: ~$400.

Men's Speed - bar allowed
Women's Speed - bar allowed

Men's Speed:
Pretty basic stuff, bar can be used, four rounds, all of elimination format. Winners determined by grade followed by score. A lower A beats a higher D, because losing when you get a better grade totally sucks. Bracket size will be determined somewhat by how many people try to get in.

Interest may be low... if we dont get 6 entrants then that's that. The songlist is the only real difference: Toned down due to lack of serious female pumpers in the area. I'll have two versions of possible songlists dependent on the skill of players that show up.

Round one: All Steps Are Created Equal.
Try to get an equal amount of Perfects, Greats, Goods, Bads, and Misses. A HD/CZ song will be chosen. Score is perfects +/- steps in song/5. Best entrants go on.
Round two: Another What???
Another Truth Randomstep. Choose your difficulty, EZ/CZ/FS/NM. Most points wins. F is a disqualification. Choose at your own risk.
Round three: Slow&Slow&Go&Go
I'm going to be nondescript about this one. It gets to be a surprise.
