Schedule

11:00 AM->Store opens, you may warm up at this time.
12:00 PM->Registration Starts. 12 Dollars for singles event, 20 dollars for both doubles and single
12:45 PM-> Welcome and introduction
1:00 PM-> Tournament begins (Doubles competition will commence after singles competition is completed)

Awards

For both singles and doubles the prize is as follows.
1st-> 60% of prize pot
2nd-> 30% of prize pot
3rd-> 10% of prize pot

General Rules

A: Treat your fellow competitors with respect. NO disrespect directed at anyone involved in, watching, or directing the tournament will be tolerated, period. These actions can lead to disqualification from the tournament.
B: No spectators may touch the machine, pad or bar, or contestants while they are dancing. Penalty: Removal from the game room or premise.
C: Sandbagging will not be tolerated. Penalty: Loss of match (minor infraction) or disqualification (severe infraction)

General Rules Continued

D: Agreement to waive rules clause: If both players participating in a match mutually consent, they may add any rules, change, or remove rules, aside from the ground rules, which do not take the match to take extra time.
E: Pad error clause: Learning how to minimize pad errors is an integral part of ITG arcade play, in the opinion of the tournament committee. Replays and score adjustments due to pad errors also take up extra time and effort on part of the tournament committee. Therefore, unless one side of the machine is severely worse than the other (e.g. an arrow is sticking or at least two sensors in one arrow are goofing up) or both sides have sticky arrows, replays or score adjustments due to pad malfunctions WILL NOT BE GRANTED. The machine is good condition, so pad error should not be a problem anyway.

Safety Bar and Mod Rules

A: Use of the safety bar will always be permitted.
B: Players will always be allowed to choose their own individual mods, as long as their choices would not disqualify their ranking during the course of normal play.
C: C Mods will not be usable.

Contest Rules

Division (Subject to change based on attendance)

A: This will be a double elimination tournament so you may loose your first match but still come out in the finals. From the first round of matches the people who lost will be put into a second bracket to battle it out.

How matches are scored (Applicable for both divisions)

A: The winner will be chosen if they have a higher percentage then their opponent in the unlikely event there is a tie. We will then look at most fantastics to determine the winner.

General Match Rules

A: Everyone will be given a random number when they register and that will be used to determine who will flip a coin at the beginning of the match. The person with the highest number will call it and the person who wins the coin toss will either pick which side they want to start on or if they pick the first song.
B: Songs will be picked from ITG and ITG2, no custom songs are allowed.
C: After the first song the other player will pick the second song and the third song will be random in the event of a tie, players will also switch pads. For the championship match it is the best 3 out of 5 and it will alternate until the fifth round, if applicable, in which the fifth song shall be put on random

General Match Rules Continued

D: Random songs will be chosen using a RNG and not with the machine random function. The songs eligible for random will be comprised of all songs on Expert difficulty falling within the difficulty restrictions.
E: Once a player chooses a particular song and difficulty combination, that player may not choose and difficulty combination until that player reaches the championship match. Note: A player's opponent may select a song and difficulty combination that the player had selected in a previous round.
F: Each round will have a minimum difficulty restriction (players cannot select a song with a difficulty lower than the minimum or higher then the maximum)

Round of 20: 9-10 block
Round of 10: 10-11 block
Round of 4: 11-12 block
Round of 2: 11-13 block

Bad news guys, apparently the machine decided to die on us the day before the tournament. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so it seems the tourney is canceled. Hopefully everyone gets this message, I'll post future updates later on.
