This isn't something that's meant to be joked about guys. I remember that on 6.0 there was a lot of jokes about it, but that's kinda fucked up, so please keep that shit to a minimum.
Aside from that.
School's first day is a formal dress day (private school, it blows) and we're having a memorial.
Eh, I wasn't trying to joke. Sorry if my response sounded like it. Chilenoloco is a bit off his rocker...
One of my friends schoolmates lost their parents on that day. They were in the second tower. Apparantly, the schoolmate moved in with them. I haven't heard from him since then. =[
I saw the whole thing on live TV, from the very start to the bitter end. I still can't believe it actually happened, it was like something you thought was only in movies...
The only thing that is asked of an American on this day is a moment of silence.
Now I'm going to assume that you yourself aren't stupid enough to involve yourself in those invasions. I've seen better /b/ invasions on a Swedish department store's website. (true story)
And I swear, if anyone even MENTIONS Pool's Closed here......

Getting that out of the way, it's not a personal thing for me. 9/11, other than the Docudramas that accompany it each year, is no different than any other day. 5 years now, I have things to do. I'm sorry if I sound insensitive, but I can't be held up by everyone else's mourning. It's just natural for me. It didn't affect me on a personal standpoint, so of course 5 years later I'm just going to shrug it off.
I remember I was a junior in high school and I was taking a pre-calc. quiz when I heard the news. Suddenly the troubles I was having with some dumb quiz didn't really seem so important. I remember not knowing what to expect in the days afterwards: What would happen next, would the draft come back (would it be before I could go to Homecoming with my date? - shallow, yes, but who wasn't in high school?), etc.? Let's hope we can all take a moment to observe a moment of peace tomorrow.
