Creating image hyperlinks?

So since it's been forever since I've done this I've been rekn00bifi3d. Yes, it's tragic. So here's the dealio: I demand an idiot-proof guide to creating an image hyperlink or you will all face the horrible consequences. Somebody's gotta step up and lay it on me. Do this and your reward will be great indeed. Well....not that great. Nevermind, there's no reward. Now tell me!!

there is an icon above where you type your post with an image of a horizon. Copy and paste the image into the space where you provide the URL. Click okay. just like that

Thanks, but when I said image hyperlink I meant producing an image that once you click on it it'll redirect you to another URL.

I won't argue there, but what caused this "bad start"? Is everybody's attitude solely attributed to that political comment which sparked a mass N.T.M. hatred? I'd laugh like hell if it was. But really: why is it?

I will spell it out slowly:

1) Your very first thread is a question in General Discussion (you probably could have picked a more appropriate board for this, maybe Computers and Technology) that you could have easily found the answer to on your own, perhaps by using a magic tool called Google or any other search engine. It is also a question about such a simple thing (simple as in, there are goddamned labeled buttons in the interface you can click) that it makes you look doubly retarded for not figuring this out by yourself. Finally, when someone gives you a clear template which should solve your problem, you fail to use it correctly, and over multiple tries.

2) Since about an hour passed, and nobody has replied to your highly relevant thread, you decide to start mass-bumping dead topics, which is an activity most of us learned to be bad netiquette roughly ten years ago. Not only that, you bump them with single-sentence meandering and offer only minimal additions to the topic. You act surprised, even belligerant when the moderators call you on this.

3) You enter a calm political discussion thread, post an unfounded slander which you "are too lazy" to cite a source for, and in your pursuit of what is not even viable enough to be a conspiracy theory, prove you have no understanding of the inner workings of your own government. You become increasingly belligerant with users who call you on the fact that you have posted utter bullshit, and backed it up with several posts that do not even provide acceptable theoretical evidence.

4) With half a userbase breathing down your neck, rather than backing off and trying to figure out why you are getting a poor reaction, you bitch and gripe, and above all, continue posting in exactly the same way while expecting a different result, showing you have no understanding of basic logic, ie. the idea of cause and effect.

This is why, above all, you are a fuck gay, a dumb and a vomit.

EDIT: I must add that, in case you don't understand, I am actually doing this for your benefit. If you ignore this criticism, you're just proving everyone right. You can still redeem yourself as a user, if you simply cease to act as you do now, and reflect upon why you are failing. In fewer words, lurk for a while.
