Default Dancers or DJs

Hey guys,
I haven't found any threads like this when I searched around. But eitherway, I have always wondered if anybody here who plays DDR also dances or people who play Beatmania also DJ.

State what style of dancing or DJ-ing you do and if you have pics, you should post em up. I want to know if anyone here also has mad skills off the machine .

It's been a while since I played DDR but I can tell you that I can dance.
It's called the Melbourne Shuffle, it's fun and easy to pick up on.
Here's the dance (not my video).

Aw yeah. I have a couple of friends who do that haha. It's pretty sick when you do it right.

I break, vogue, krump, jerk, etc. haha. I unfortunately don't have any videos or pics of myself because I'm usually filming my friends .

Capoiera.
Or a crappy, non 'grupo' version of it.

Nope. Best I can do that relates to breakdancing would be a "relogio" (where you spin one leg under your body, while carrying your weight with a hand to continue spinning) and certain stalls (like "queda de rins"- holding your weight with only your arms, elbow dug into your side, legs up and to the side).

I tried a flare once. The motion came surprisingly easy- just have to find out how to keep it going.

Woah, the relogio is pretty cool. I should make a variation of it .

Yeah, the flare motion is very simple. But making sure you swing the leg and hips cleanly and correctly each time in order to keep going makes it one of the harder power moves. But looking at the capoiera stuff, I'm pretty sure you can get it with a few practices.

Jerking unfortunately, but I was also into the break scene for a while. But I mostly shine the music area, I do a lot of live MPC/DJ work, also play the piano haha.

Haha, nothing wrong with jerking. I like to get loose in the knees. It's actually a lot harder than it looks to make jerking look good.

Exactly what I tell people. I will agree that some of the music is utterly retarded though.

I like to dance! But I'm better at DDR than I am at actually dancing. I enjoy both about the same amount.

I did modern dance and ballet at college, and now that I've stumbled on America's Best Dance Crew I want to take some hiphop classes, and learn voguing. Is it still okay to do that if you're a girl?
