Quick question: Do you really believe in his innocence? And if not, do you really believe that, considering the circumstances, a fair trial is at all possible?
| Not really. I just wanted to provoke a reaction.

He killed thousands of his own people, and yet when he fled to Britain, British officials would not give him up to be extradited to his own country. A Spanish judge was investigating his crimes and trying to get him convicted of extortion and murder and oppression, but still the world community had a hard time letting him go to trial in his own country, partly because he was old and sick.
What role should other countries play in the prosecution of leaders for crimes against their own people? What should the world do when those in charge of a country abuse and murder that country's citizens? I think most would agree that if not America, certainly someone else would have to help bring Hussein to trial for his crimes against humanity.

First off, we didn't go into Iraq just to kill saddam, you know the story, blah blah.
The media is so weak now adays, there are few to no real stories. Where are the reporters who ask the tough questions?
sorry about the rant... I'm just sick of bush

Slaughtering a pig over him and spilling its blood and guts over him, on the other hand, will get the terrorists to think twice.

The way things are in Iraq right now. It will require one little thing to start a civil war...
okay...
Make the Civil War worse.
The minute he's killed someone will get pissed off and shoot someone. Someone shoots back... some guns go off. Someone suicide bombs something. Then it's all out war.
While we're on this. Need I remind people that the United States installed Saddam as president in the first place? That's what happens when you build a democracy from the outside. Dictatorship is destined to take over. Simple as that.
Saddam wants the attention. It'd be better for them to just lock him up underground for the rest of his days. It's not like he's gonna escape. He'll get shot on sight by someone out there
So yeah, killing him would be the easy way out. He didn't really get a fair trial anyway... by our standards.

How fucking stupid are you?
