Besides that though, this is pretty cool. I wonder if they will ever develop a computer that can send signals to your brian instead of just recieving them.

It'll show up eventually, but I'm guessing 15-30 years down the road. We've barely scratched the surface of having machines communicate with our brains.

Most of the audience in question is pretty fucking stupid

This is interesting, but the expense involved is kind of restrictive and I can't see it being too useful until the technology involved is substantially cheaper; that said, the simple fact that this is workable speaks well for anything they try to do in the future. Exciting.

Cool to see that she has more than one functional motor joint. Something like this was done before but it only allowed for the elbow to move, the hand clasping was still done with an old-fashioned mechanical method. That's a remarkable leap in function in the year that I've seen this be apart.
