Gender in war

Quick question before i should sleep. One of my friends' said that women should fight in the front lines of war because war is equal and doesn't know gender. I don't see why this should be? Boys are built better for fighting, and they are generally bigger and stronger.

So does anyone think girls should be out there fighting, I mean imagine in iraq and stuff like on the news. I never see girls out there, I think it's better off just boys fighting because they can attack better. My friend thinks this is wrong though because war "doesnt discriminate" and girls can keep up. I agree some are strong but... XD not me. gear makes a lot of difference.....but shouldn't the boys continue fighting and the girls do like those medical things?

And other thing should only boys be drafted? I think so.

The one main reason why the military wont allow women to participate on the battlefield is because of, "that time of the month", if the enemy had dogs on there patrols the dogs could find the womens scent from the periods. I wouldn't like them to be able to track where I am hiding and neither does the rest of the military. They won't allow women to take the pill either to not have a period because they don't want to get sued later down the road if or when that female can't give birth to a child or any type of complications it might cause. This is what I have been told and I am in the military, and I was told by the military.

I thought it was that because women take forever to get ready, so like, girls would still be worried about their hair in the middle of battle.

You do recognize that the differences between genders aren't so black and white as you make them out to be, but rather just starting points from which the individual is built according to genetics and upbringing, right?

Putting women in front line combat in today's world makes a government look desperate since as has been mentioned men are as a rule more suited to combat situations. If you consider the potential for disaster on the world stage if you have a squad captured with its female members raped and murdered on film, then you might start to see how it could be problematic.

Well its kind depends what you mean if women should be in war

Marines, Army, Navy seals require very physically strong people which is generally an attribute of men.

Women are more suited for Air force or lieutenant commanding positions.

In addition there is always the "damsel in distress syndrome." Naturally in war if someone is down, you have to leave them behind and sometimes (I mean all the time) its just not in men to leave good looking women behind injured on the battlefield. That's one reason why women are generally not encouraged to fight on the front lines on the battlefield.

Women on the battlefield not allowed to have long hair. So getting ready usually isn't the limiting factor as far as fighting on the front lines.

Women will never be drafted in the US.

This hasn't been true since WWII. Most of the time every effort is made to recover wounded or killed troops.

Jesus christ, I knew plenty of girls like you in high school and you're all the same. You want equal rights, but when the topic of war comes up it's all BOYS ARE STRONGER, WE WOMEN ARE INFERIOR AND HAVE VAGINAS SO WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GO ;_____; wah.

As for the argument regarding physical strength, women can hold a gun just as well as a man. And after a few weeks in bootcamp you'll be more than strong enough to carry your equipment into the field.

If you want equal pay to a man, equal respect, equal treatment, and all together equal rights, then get your equal ass in the battlefield.

Until then, get back in the kitchen. XD
