Help me Bemanistyle!

I am beginning to have a lot of free time this year and I need to get a new hobby.
I'm starting to learn how to produce music in FL studio and I need something besides my annoying keyboard.
On the other hand, Pop'n Music looks like a fun and interesting game.
Please give me suggestions on what my next purchase should be.

Pop'n Music is (in my opinion) more fun to me than IIDX, but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that PNM is all cute and cartoony.

My main suggestion is going to be for you to get a new computer to play GRAW (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter) with me (there's a ton of great PC games out now; if you enjoy first-person shooters, buying a new computer or upgrading your current one might not be a bad idea). :3 Prey's out now, too, if you've heard about it.

I'm saying Pop'n. It would be a new thing for you. That means it would take more time off of your hands.

Aside from some of the unlock systems, Pop'n is amazingly fun and entertaining. Keep in mind, however, I do not produce music, and cannot use that as a comparison to Pop'n's fun level.

learn a hobby that creates something, instead of a hobby that just replicates/mimics something.

writing music, singing it, and playing the drums to it is infinitely more entertaining to me than just playing drummania, kareoke revolution, or listening to music.

I would go with the Pop'n controller. It's a good investment (Scott/Random's controllers are solid as all hell), tons of fun, and impressive at parties. :P

I think it's possible to pick up a MIDI only 88 key keyboard controller for pretty cheap too, so I'd say look into that for music production.
