How do I become king of dice?

So I'm trying to spin a 10-sided die like a top and it's not going so well. Depending on the die, can I do that? Yugioh logic says I can. Skip to 7:03.

^ How do I do that? That shit kicks ass. The 2nd video, however, is with 6 sided dice. I'd assume a 10 sided die, since it's like a diamond, would be able to spin like that. I've been fucking around with it and it's not going very well..

Did you really have to make a thread about how you fail so hard you can spin a die?

Just keep playing with it, it's really not that hard. Use two hands if you really have to...

the trick is to use the die with rounded corners & edges, they have more surface area touching the table while spinning <-- this is a serious post, I was being mean earlier

Yes I did. However, it's a damn diamond and diamonds are assholes. I fail at gripping it. Also using two hands causes me to drop it, soo..
EDIT: That was directed at Willister. You beat my post by a minute, Helix. =/ So, how exactly would I launch it and get the momentum and such to make it not die?

I think you need to use both hands and try to spin them with equal force from both hands so the dice doesn't go flying off in one direction.

Well, if you're really this serious, I'll try and get serious.

You want to have equal pressure like Helix said. You also don't want a lot of pressure. Putting a lot of pressure onto the die will make it harder to get a good launch off. Just practice getting it in between your hands for a while and slowly move your hands in opposite directions so you can get a feel of when and where the die is leaving your hand. Once you start getting the feel for it and get it going, you'll be able to add more pressure which will allow for longer, faster spins.
