Marketplace Rating: 0 | How are you spending your summer? I'm spending it sitting at home with a stupid illness. So I can't really do much than watch tv, play games and work out... Pretty lame huh?
Sorry if this is a repeat thread or something like that, I've never really talked on the bemanistyle forums for the years I've been on here. Discuss.- What have you done with your summer so far?
- Or if it's over for you already that what did you do?

Marketplace Rating: 2 | I've been working 7 days a week with a very occasional day off getting paid roughly $1.7/hr at my dad's hot dog stand.
Seriously.

Pay kinda sucks (I expect a 0 net gain for this summer), but the research experience is the real draw... you know, and getting to see Chile.

Seriously. | Oh wow... That sounds like a lot of fun...
Do you seriously only get $1.7/hr?... x_x Quote:

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Summer huh?
Originally I was supposed to start taking classes for college, but it seems like I'll be working for dad a little longer. ;_; So that's what I've been doing.
My brother went back to visit my mom in Hawaii last week. My dad and step mom are taking a vacation to Hawaii next week. I'll be... working for the rest of the summer.
-sob-
At least this summer isn't trapped in an endless time loop.

I started the summer off with about 200 dollars, tried to get a job and ultimately did not because this town sucks and if you give someone your resume before they actually start hiring they will keep it "on file" which basically means throwing it away.
My other plan was to make arcade controllers for profit/fun. It has taken my friend and I way too fucking long to get anything done because he has stuff planned on a regular basis, whereas i do nothing but sit in my room all day if i am not working on soldering a board or working in the woodshop. We almost have our first prototype done, how exciting.
Making ps3 controllers is really easy because you can buy easy to deal with control units but 360 controllers are retarded and the only way to have a not ridiculously shitty to deal with board is to buy a goddamned mad catz 360 gamepad, which have at least 7 different internal board versions to begin with so its a fun surprise every time you crack one open because maybe youll have to make a signal inverter out of a transistor for the triggers or maybe youll have a board that has TEST POINTS for you to solder! what a concept how exciting.
by the way you guys should buy one of these, i am really really hungry.

haha what am i saying ramadan wont stop shit | I imagine that, if anything, Ramadan would intensify the bombing campaigns.

I'm actually thinking on buying one, the afterburner maybe since it's only $130 and it's good from what I've tried. My friend let me borrow his CB for 6 months and I hate it, it just feels awful to play on. Quote:

All I've got waiting for me back in Chicago is a PS2 and a Gamecube. And a N64, if I can wrestle it off my brother (which shouldn't be too hard beyond Ogre Battle 64).
So yeah, it looks like while I'm not getting paid much at all here, I've at least got a less shitty summer than all you guys. AWESOME.
