Hurricane Gustav

So it's a category 4 storm with winds at 150mph aiming at New Orleans with a possible landfall by Monday afternoon according to the last advisory I checked.

Any thoughts?

Last I checked, it was going to strengthen to a cat 5 at some point and slam into LA as a 4.

Course we thought it was going to be a 3 at some point and had no clue if it was going to hit between Florida panhandle or south Texas. :\

It looks really strong indeed.

Apparently, if what I heard in the news was correct, this thing already hit Louisiana (which has already suffered a lot from Katrina years ago).

Thankfully, they got everyone out of there this time (before it was too late).

I just hope that everyone in the affected areas is safe and is clear from any danger.

We're getting the remnants of it in AR right now. Flooding's occuring (surprise). Pretty much what you'd expect out of a strong stationary storm for us but the gusts are hitting 40 or 45 out here. Glad I have a 4WD.

Still, not as bad as LA got hit with...and there's three hurricanes still out there yet to make landfall.

Well, Gustav is't as near as damaging as Katrina (including preparations) and now East Florida has to worry about Ike......BLEEP

Apparently, there are two-three more coming after this one.

Just hope that it isn't any stronger than what you guys are experiencing now.

At the moment, there's Hurricane Ike (which you guys are experiencing right now..........especially in the affected areas).

Sure Ike is gonna hit the Texas coast, sure all the people from Brownsville to Port Arthur have to worry about it the most...but it's been raining all week where I am anyways...this'll be fun.

If it's not that strong though, then yeah, I guess it should be harmless.

Enjoy the view then
