Life Imitates Art at 'Snakes' Screening
New Samuel L Jackson film Snakes On A Plane became terrifyingly real for Arizona cinema-goers when pranksters released two live rattlesnakes into the theatre, causing widespread panic. The two young venomous diamondback rattlers were released during a screening in Phoenix on Friday. Local news reports say the snakes caused chaos among the audience and snake wranglers were called in to collect them. No one was injured during the incident and the culprits have not been caught. Officials believe the snakes were smuggled into the theatre in backpacks. According to Phoenix Herpetological Society spokesman Daniel Marchand, "All they've got to do is startle this thing. It's dark. They can't see you that well. If it's scared - boom - it strikes!" The snakes were eventually captured and released into the Arizona desert.

I put it here mainly because even though it is kind of related to SOAP, its not about the movie itself.

I probably would have shit my pants literally if I saw a snake on the ground when I watched this movie. I was already scared of snakes before I got into the theatre.. then you watch this movie and it amplifys your fear x4. I would have had a heart attack. That'd be some scary shit.

Holy shit! Didn't they concern themselves as to who might have been bit by one of the snakes? What if a 5 year old girl died in less time the hospital could rescue her?

If you're taking a 5 year old child to see Snakes on a Plane, then she probably should get bitten, along with your dumb ass for being the kind of ignorant parent who would take their child to such a movie.

Phoenix, Arizona police have denied reports live rattlesnakes were released in a cinema during a screening of Snakes On A Plane, insisting the claims are a hoax. Local news reports on Tuesday said cinema-goers were terrified when two live venomous rattlesnakes were released at a showing of the Samuel L. Jackson film last Friday. Phoenix police sergeant Joel Tranter admits there is a shred of truth to the story - a 10-inch rattlesnake was found on Friday in a hallway at the movie theatre, but is thought to have slithered there on its own. A security guard swept the snake up outside and trapped it in a plastic container until a member of the Arizona Herpetological Association could haul it away. Snake handlers had also been called to the theatre earlier in the day to retrieve another rattlesnake from outside.

It was all a hoax and also the reason it wasn't on IMDB was because they remove their news really fast to update it.
