Playing Bemani games since: 2001, got my CF in 2003, and started playing IIDX a year and a half ago, but shortly after, quit playing DDR/IIDX when i got WoW(FTL)

I've been posting on BMS for a while but I never introduced myself.

My name's not really Hasuko, but I usually go by Akemi. Along with my father, I own and operate an arcade/computer LAN centre in Ventura, CA. I'm twenty years old and studying business management and a general "catch-all" of advertisement, business ethics, etc. in college.

I first got into bemani via a 3rd Mix machine in.. I think it was late 2000ish when I first moved to CA from NY. Talk about a culture shock!

After that, I found my true love: Asaki in GF/DM. I was also pretty surprised to see cover songs in there by some of my favourite JRock bands (Kuroyume, BOOWY, Sex Machineguns, etc.) so it quickly became my favourite bemani game.

..Um, I dunno what else to say. I'm boring, yay! \:D/

Been coming to BMS since late '04, started posting (very occasionally) on 6.0 a few months after, uploaded a few songs (which I've yet to re-up to 7.0, probably will stay that way). Figured that 7.0 launch would be a good time to start posting regularly on here, so here I am.

Lived in Los Angeles my entire life as of a few weeks ago, when I moved to Arizona with my family. Just recently finished high school, still looking at some community colleges. Standard-level DDR player, just started ITG a couple months ago. Also play some Beatmania every now and then, when I get the chance (hopefully I'll get my hands on IIDX one of these days). Mainly I focus on racing games in arcades. Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune (1 AND 2), ID3, BG2 and 3, Daytona USA 1 & 2, and OutRun 2 & 2SP. I definitely love F355 Challenge, won't turn down a game if I have the money to, which usually means I'll have to turn it down.

Had a job at Subway, 1 year as of about 5 weeks ago, quit the week after. If I hadn't had to move, good chance I still may have quit (assuming I had another option).

My life goal is to make a brief and semi-complete outline of my life thus far on a Bemanistyle.com forum post, preferrably during the site's 7.0 era, on the 11th page of an "Introduction" thread (or anything resembling aforementioned thread name) sometime around 12:48am local time on August 27, 2006, thereby acquring a large token count for a single post, that is to say, substantially larger than the tokens recieved for a typical "response" or "casual" post, as some would call them, all of this while wearing a t-shirt, swim trunks, and a baseball cap, waiting in my bedroom for a live broadcast of the Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix airing later that morning.

*sigh* Oh well, I could always just open a gourmet jerky and/or hot sauce store. That's a decent goal, right?
