Marketplace Rating: 0 | Hey, my name is Joey. I’ve lurked here a bit and finally feel like posting something, so I guess I’ll introduce myself.
I got into rhythm games through DDR (I’m so unique, huh?). A friend of mine owned 3rd mix and it was a ton of fun, so my brother decided to get a Japanese PSX and 4th mix, which had just come out. I never got too serious until recently, though; I played on a soft pad and on the occasional arcade with my friend Comet until MAX 2 came out, then I started to lose interest. I now am getting back into it as a fun way to do cardio, and have also gotten more serious about improving my scores. I also play Technika as of late, and dabble in DJMP, if only to learn Technika songs.
I go to UCLA, so if anyone else goes there and sees me in the arcade playing Technika say hi; I’m 6’3’’ and have long-ish blond hair. I hope to be spending my zero week there, should funds allow it .

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Hey Bemanistyle!
The name is Greg (Gweb). I'm currently living in Japan (Nagoya) for a year (study abroad) and looking to get back into Bemani games.
Back in the day (5+ years ago) I was pretty serious about DDR, but once my job at the arcade ended, so did my active DDR lifestyle.
A couple of years ago (maybe 2) I picked up the USA Beatmania game for the PS2 (if only to get the controller) and I've been playing casually ever since (but I'm looking to change that).
Now that I'm living in Japan I've had plenty of chances to go to the local arcades. Of course when I got there I found TONS of games...almost too many to play. I've narrowed down my area of potential expertise to a couple of games:
1) Jubeat Ripples
2) Beatmania IIDX
3) DDR (maybe, whenever I decide to stop smoking and work out again).
4) Street Fighter 4
I hope to get my knowledge up in all things Bemani and make some friends.
Nice to meet you! | |

My handle is Saturn but my name is Jarrod Joestar. 21 years old, currently living in SoCal. I've been playing DDR and IIDX for years and years and years but didn't really decide to come here until recently, used to go to DDRFreak but that place sucks and is dead... but this place is very active!
I play a lot of IIDX and DDR. As far as DDR goes, I'm only into Freestyle and sometimes very very casual PA, no real interest in AAAing things and mastering the game. I also play Pop'n and Para Para occasionally.
Besides music games I play fighters a lot. SF4, Third Strike and Mahvel mostly these days. Other than that, I like to dance, make music/DJ events when I can (still a rookie) and create art.
Usually I like to play anywhere I can in Socal so any bemani heads in the area don't be shy to hit me up, all my old bemani friends are "retired" haha so i'm looking for more, especially people down to freestyle :P

I'm Peter from Appleton, WI. I used to be pretty hardcore for DDR and other games and I've been wanting to get back into rhythm games (DDR mostly) recently... but my really old Playstation 2 kicked the bucket and my copy of DDR MAX 2 was stolen. So basically I'm stuck with the DDR at my local arcade until I buy a new Playstation and a new copy of DDR.
It's nice to meet you all and I hope to make some good use of these forums.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Well, I've already posted around the forums and such, but since I'm bored and I like typing just as I like talking, I thought I'd make a small intro.
Well, I'm happy-half-Japanese Cygnus IRL Ann and I live in NorCal. I'm the president of DDR-ITG club (right now, it's primarily ITG, but a comp is being created for both DDR and ITG) at my high school, but my roots in dance-rhythm games actually started when I was 4-5 in Lake Tahoe playing on the DDR USA cab. I merged from DDR to ITG my freshman year and started to take it seriously a little bit before my Sophomore year. I play at home now due to financial issues and the lack of Custom Song support or working dedicabs for that matter, but during my free time, I make stepcharts, play IIDX and DJ Max (and Technika, of course).
Um... fun facts about me! I'm 4'10, I love to cook and absolutely love to draw and Photoshop, I have to drink coffee everyday or else I withdrawl (damn 7 year addiction) and I LOVE BUTTERFLIES. WOOHOO, EMPRESS HIT ME THERE. HURDY HUR. But anyways... OH YEAH, I'M A GIRL. SHOCKING.
I'm currently enjoying my stay at the Hilton Bemanistyle. Thank you guys for giving me a nice warm welcome to this community.

So...With over 200 posts, I say:
Hi everyone!
RESG here.
Let's see...I first got into bemani gaming through DJMAX Online back in...Way back then. First generation. I wasn't really ever good, to be honest. (at least back then) I ended up just leaving the game, like I did with a billion other online games I played (I was a hardcore online game player).
A few years later, I wanted to go back to it and saw it closed. Even later, I ended up joining EZ2ON, and got better there. Then hl1auz's videos got me interested in IIDX and here I am, passing 9s with a keyboard and sometimes even A'ing them, since I never had a PS2 and I haven't got a DAO yet. (I will soon though).
I'm very musical, and other than music games I also play guitar and I recently got into composing. My favourite genre is Nu Style Gabba, and also some general Hardcore.
Fun fact: I live in the Holy Land. Not america, you idiots! ISRAEL!!! XP (no harm done?)
In my free time I play touhou and some online games, currectly the Mabinogi Europe closed beta.
I never played Technika and I definately want to, and definately will. Just wait untill the day I show up at the Breaks.
Something Extra: I haven't read a book in the last 2 years.
So, I hope to continue enjoy my time here as I did untill now.

I go by Josh, live in New York City - work all day as a Technical Coordinator of a small business.
Found my roots in music games when I visited Puerto Rico when I was like , 12, saw some kids playing Wonda and was like "wttff". Needless to say, I spent most that vacation on the DDR machine, and not the beach. Got back to New York, bought up the console versions of DDR, played that few years along with Stepmania. Started playing Technika a couple months ago, dabble around in that too. Got IIDX like two months ago, loving the crap out of it, the difficulty keeps me hooked, passing 9's as of right now, and getting better. I'm often found at our Chinatown Fair arcade trollin' n00bs and having a good time.
Other stuff? Avid collector of anime/figurines/anything collectible. Extremely frequent con-goer, often flying over the country for them.
I probably missed something but yeah, that's the gist of it. Cheers.

Anyways, Gpop here. I'm guessing there's a select few here who already knows me, either from the DSU4 pack, my pad files, my somehow somewhat popular TTFaF/FotS files, or through the Touhou community. But yeah other than that, I've been into music games for quite a few years. Granted, I'm not into it as much as before but hey, I still play DDR when I see one. I also play quite a bit of Rock Band, just because.
I'm a bit restricted atm, and I've always wanted to play the IIDX series. I'm quite a fan in the Touhou series as well. Might've been noticed by either my siggy/avatar, stepfiles or my Touhou Pad Pack that I released not too long ago. Also, some people from the Touhou community may know that I'm a big Koishi fanboy, but I promise I'll try my best to hold my fanboyism in.
But yeah. Hey!

I hail from Green Bay, WI (The REAL Titletown, USA) and try to attend a few anime cons a year. I just (completely on a whim) decided to download Stepmania yesterday and am trying to get some songs into it. It was during this process that I stumbled onto this site.
Anything else you wanna know, just ask.

I really enjoy playing rhythm "]games and action games.
Let's see.. My fave rhythm games are Beatmania IIDX (Beatmania was my first rhythm game) and DJ Max Portable (since there's no Techinka on my country, but I'm so damn interested at the game). My fave action games are... Almost everything!
Well, smell ya guys sooner (or later) XD
