So who is this guy trying to marry?

Because if she's some major character (or even a minor character in a more popular comic), I suspect that there will be other suitors looking for her hand in marriage. And who's to say she's going to pick this guy over one of those other suitors?

I'd imagine you'd have to get permission from the author, acting as the character's legal guardian. Sure it might be a bit old fashioned to marry someone based on her patriarch's decision, but in this case, I'd say that the character cannot legally represent herself or her opinions.

this reminds me of a bored afternoon of googling a new wallpaper. After looking through some anime ones i reached "Girls of Adventure Quest" this almost reaches the same level of desperation and sadness as that wallpaper.
