So yeah, Patrick Swayze (Dirty Dancing, Red Dawn, guest appearance on Saturday Night Live w/ Chris Farley) died today at the age of 57, losing his battle w/ cancer.
& yet another famous person dies this year...

Honestly, we saw this coming for a long time. It was only a matter of when it was going to happen.
Considering how his "life" was this past couple of months, his death is basically a sigh of relief. The man looked absolutely terrible. He had to have been in constant pain, and his days were pretty much spent lying in bed or running through an endless gauntlet of tests/treatments (which themselves are no pain picnic).
I'm not happy he had to suffer this fate at all, but I am glad that he's finally done suffering.
P.S. the man could out-dance anyone within 100 years of his lifetime, if not more. I'm gonna have to watch Dirty Dancing again.

Agreed. Sad loss indeed but at least, he won't have to suffer any longer.
Anyways, I'm gonna have to re-watch "The Beast" which has his first (and last) TV debut which IMHO was also his best performance ever. I definitely need to see all 13 eps. again.
