...Do not forget the Day of Infamy.
EDIT: And please, don't make fun of this. This was one of the worst tradgedies in American history. The people that died in this heinous attack do not deserve mockery.
...Although they're probably turning in thier graves since we're essentially worshipping the attackers now...

why? I hate war, politics, nightly news, ie: other people's business.
Honestly, I strictly believe out of site, out of mind. Out of mind, out of life. I'm emotional as it is, I'm honestly a depressed, self-loathing mess. But I voluntarily change this by forcing memories, people, events, and thoughts out of my mine.
call it immoral or call me stupid, but I don't really care.

We don't want to forget it, but do we really want to be reminded about it eighter?

call it immoral or call me stupid, but I don't really care. | Though I don't really think this topic is neccessary, you are a miserable piece of shit, and it's exactly that "if it doesn't affect me, it's not important" mentality that makes me ashamed to be a youth in America.

It's an accident that should not have happened. No offense but what were the Japanese thinking? I wouldn't blame the US for attacking back.

| The japanese were always fucked up. Go read "The Rape of Nanking".
We did nuke the shit out of them... so in the grand scheme of things, we're even.

It's an accident that should not have happened. No offense but what were the Japanese thinking? I wouldn't blame the US for attacking back. | Japan was in the mists of what is known as the "Empire of Japan," with rapid militarization and industrialization spawning in the late 1800s. With the emergence of ultra-nationalism within Japan, they felt that they were to become a world power through owning natural resources and expanding their territories. In response to the aggressive nature of Japan's expansion, the United States imposed an embargo on the country and froze all assets linked to Japan.
The leaders of Japan at the time saw this as a threat to the expansion and growth of the Empire of Japan, so in order to save face the leaders decided to declare war.
Calling the attack on Pearl Harbor an "accident" is a huge mistake. It's not like somebody tripped on a cord and all of the sudden Zero fighters were shooting at the wrong thing. This was a well calculated attack meant to disable as much of the United States' Pacific fleet at once. Preliminary plans for the attack were made out as early as January of 1941! Quote:

The past shapes up present time, and what you do with present time will shape the future.

The only thing accidental of Pearl Harbor, was that a whole lot of ships were close together, and a movie (But that's a different story).
*Insert obligatory "Ty=Old" joke* (At least this time It has a purpose)
