Permission to make a forum site called The Bemani Rev?
(Note: Cousin came up with the name since I was drawing a blank...)

I know the name's similar to BemaniStyle (along with some topics), but it's also similar to alot of other sites (I.E: Freak, UK, Lion King, Anime etc.) out there on the net.

If permission is denied, then it's okay, I can always change the name to something else.
(What, I don't know...)

And also, you can LoQ this or move it or something after a reply or....yeah...okay

I'm not anyone important (here), that wasn't serious.

More to the point I really don't think you need the permission from anyone here to make a forum site with that name, nor would have to legally oblige by a decision in which such permission was denied.

Go make the forum.

Oh, okay. I just tend to take things seriously. ^^;

And the reason I asked was because a member on TYR said I needed permission from here since the name was similar, otherwise there'd be a lawsuit.

If you make a site called The Bemani Rev, there will be no lawsuits but a flaming pile of shit might fall out of the sky and hit your house and possibly come through your window.

The closest thing to copyright infringement going on would be the use of the name "Bemani" and I'm pretty sure no one has to worry about that.

Sorry to ruin your dreams but even if the forum's name did break some law, the forum itself would never become popular enough to become a proverbial blip on bemanistyle's proverbial radar. You'd have to steal quite a hunk of bemanistyle's traffic for anyone to at least remotely care.
