Organic dog food, yes or no?
I leave for an 8 hour work shift, what should I do to make my dog comfortable being alone? |
1. yes, if you bathe the dog regularly . which, surprisingly should only be done once every 5-6 weeks . i know that sounds gross but if you do it too much itll dry out their skin . you can do it more often if you choose to, or if your dog is real gross . not to mention, febreze is your friend :]
2/3. exercise honestly depends on what breed you own . if you have a bullmastiff, they dont need too much because they are generally a calm breed, whereas if you had a husky youd need to do lots of activities with them because theyre a hyper breed .
4. organic dog food has its advantages, and there were reports of allergy reductions, better immunity, more energy . theres no real risk in trying it out . its really up to what the dog will eat, some dogs are way picky about that sort of stuff .
5. if youre leaving for 8 hours a day, DONT HAVE A PUPPY . an older dog would probably take the time alone better, but they might not be so quick to bond to you if youre gone for long amounts of time . keeping a puppy in a kennel for 8 hours is torture, and they will never behave for you when you try and take them out .
hope i helped :]
anything else, do ask ~

anything else, do ask ~ | Febreeze? haha, I'll keep that in mind.
I asked about exercise because while doing some research on breeds, some sources said that they needed alot but others said that they didn't so..I was alittle confused.
Puppies are way too high maintenance for me, I would probably get a relatively young dog, but nothing that's less than a year old.

Look.
My new kitten:
Her name is Wynaut. She's at least the smartest of Tiger and P. Spoon because she knows where that goddamn pillow is in a rain: NOT WET INSIDE AN OLD DOGLOO.
Sleeping close up.
She peers into where she cannot be. Damn mom and her allergies.
Peanut Spoon looking fine.
P. Spoon again.
The oldest and snobbiest, Tiger. Yesterday he tried to jump on a GLASS outdoor table without anyway to get lift from his hind feet. Fell like 3 feet sideways onto some grass. We laughed and felt bad so I put him on top so he can groom himself and jump off within one minute.
Tiger only gets along with Peanut Spoon. Any "sudden moves" from Wynaut (i.e. playfighting) will result in Tiger growling and hissing her off. She at least gets along with Peanut Spoon.

I had a lot of fun making that video, though my cat seemed more interested in sleeping and trying to be cute. | |
