This would be wonderful, but I doubt it will ever go mainstream as hospitals and pharmaceutical companies make billions of dollars off people dying from this. A magic cure that everyone can afford is quite possibly the worst thing imaginable for them. Love that health industry

This isn't like one of those reports about an African dictator claiming he can cure the disease with an ointment or whatever the fuck, so there may be some truth to it on that basis alone; on top of that, it even appears that Sarkar has been published in Science, which speaks well for the quality of her team's research.

There's some truth to this. This probably wont be the worst thing to ever happen to them since there are many other diseases out there killing people, but pharmaceutical companies especially will be affected by a lack of people needing AIDS medication. Although If youre implying that the cure would never be released because of the money, that's just hollywood fiction/Kevin Trudeau bullcrap.

I read the other day that a research hospital in germany (the same one Hitler built to sterilize people and murder, etc) came up with a way to combat (read: not cure, at least not as of yet) cancer by using a low carb, high fat diet. They saw up to 70% recession rates of cancerous tumors in patients subjected to the test. I'll try to find the source later on.

But wouldn't that like increase your chances of a heart attack and stroke and stuff like that so it would sort of be killing yourself anyway? Especially if it's not fully curing you?
