I do not care whether Steve Jobs, kimcicle or the Biblicus Mechanicus all say they are a basic function. Cameraphones do not have timers because they would be useless in practice (since they must have somebody holding the damn thing)
give me a cameraphone that can stand upright on a table or comes with a tripod of its own and I will agree with you in wondering why the hell it doesn't come with a timer
Mine, for one. I can name quite a few others that can, but I don't have that kind of time.
The more mirror pictures I see, the more I believe cameras don't have timers. Mine has a timer, ergo, it would not be too far-fetched to think that others have a timer, no? You'd be hard pressed to find a stand-alone camera that didn't have a timer, so why would it be hard to fathom a phone having one? All I'm saying is that if the phone is going to have a camera installed in it, should not it have the basic functions of a camera, i.e. a timer? Mine, for one does. I can name quite a few others that can, but I don't have that kind of time.
