More people die from the normal Influenza Virus every year than people have died from the Swine(or H1-R1 or whatever Obama called it)Flu. Seriously, the number of cases in Mexico are dwindling. And the only person outside Mexico to die of it? A 23-month old in Texas. Who was originally from Mexico. Meaning the parents were too poor to afford healthcare until it was too late. And the healthcare system in Mexico is pretty much a joke.

This is not a pandemic. It is not an epidemic. It is only technically an outbreak. And you know what? It's no more dangerous than regular flu. The only reason people are freaking out is because it's resistant to some of the treatments for the normal flu. So do you have Swine Flu? No. If you did, would you die? Not unless you live in 3rd world conditions. The only reason this has gotten such a panic reaction is thanks to the media for being bored. Like CNN, with their "TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WORLDWIDE COULD DIE IF LEFT UNCHECKED!" comment, backed by absolutely nothing.

And listen to Ribos, those are the facts. Swine flu is actually less harmful than normal "human" influenza strains that affect us every year.

I'm not worried about swine flu or whatever it is.

I got regular flu at the end of last semester, I had to miss work for around 3 weeks.

I've been sick before, I'll get sick again, it's going to suck, and whatever it is probably won't kill me. If it kills me, it's probably cuz I did something stupid. So whatever.

Yeah I didn't worry too much about it.
As soon as every news station has a story going something like

"Tonight at 9, Swine Flu, You may be Next!"
or
"Swine Flu, The Next Pandemic."

I knew that (as usual) it was being over-sensationalized just so they can have something to talk about other than Obama. The severity and amount of cases that resulted in death didn't warrant such an apocalyptic response from the media (IMO).

But then again, it's the media.

Then again again, some people just like to play it safe I guess.
