I do 85mph (137 km/h) through a 65mph (105km/h) on a daily basis, but that's the normal flow of traffic on that particular road.

Though, I have done 70mph (112 km/h) in a residential (40 km/h) before.

Ey thanks

Though you didn't have to though

It's fine either way.

Anyhow,

A lot of Japanese cars sold in my country still have the infamous 180 km/h speedometer.

Granted, of course, the maximum speed limit in my country is 100 km/h (much like in Japan)..............but who really adheres to the speed limit anyways

So often times, we max the Land Cruiser out as much as we can. It has the 180 km/h gauge...........but it can only max out at 160 km/h (since there are 5 of us in the car)

Maybe some day, we can max it out.

In my country

The only time they give a damn about speeding along expressways/major highways is only when you go past 200 km/h........or when your speed is above the speed limit while reaching the toll plaza (using a max speed limit of 100 km/h).

That's why from there, there's nothing to worry about hehe

------
P.S.

Granted

If I wanted to buy a Japanese branded car, I'd want the speedometer to be the 180 km/h one (like they use in Japan).

I see no problem with that imho.

Besides, traffic here is so bad, it's very rare case that you can even reach 160 km/h (except on three major highways/expressways/motorways).

been through three tickets... all of them were when I was driving to work a con... two paid for em... so that was sweet...

My boyfriend got out of two tickets by claiming the radar gun wasn't calibrated properly and asking for records saying it was checked and functional... they said they didn't have atm, and he got the tickets released saying it was the troopers responsibility to bring the evidence and he shouldn't have to suffer for his incompetence...

Both times the ticket's got dropped, but one time the cop called him an asshole and started shit with him, which was hilarious...

I accidentally ran a red light yesterday. I'm fairly sure it's one of those lights that has a camera to catch people who run red lights.

So I'm kind of waiting for a letter/phone call.

You gotta watch out for those, especially the ones that say no right turn on red lights during school days. People commonly make that mistake and I see the camera flash all the time. I know its bullshit.

In my case

I don't like it when cars are being pulled over by police for turning right on red signal when in fact there is NO FUCKING SIGNAGE that says that it is illegal.

Those traffic police agents there are a bunch of cockheads (for peeps in the Philippines reading this, I'm referring to the one of Taft Ave. going to DLSU)
