Traffic tickets. Ever gotten any?

if it's anything like the US, they don't have to put signs up if it is illegal in a large area/town/etc

in my city U-turns are illegal; most areas where a U-turn is possible are not marked as such


also ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it

There's one part of town that has a no turn on red area with FOUR fucking signs. No one ever heeds them. They write about ten tickets a day there, too.

Just realized that the check I mailed in for a parking ticket 4 5 months ago never actually cleared. Looks like I win.

No they haven't processed it yet. You're gonna get the check to clear exactly when you have no money to pay it.

So now Texas has the highest posted Speed Limit in the US. If I've done my math right, I can do up to 115 MPH and its not considered reckless driving as long as I'm in that section.

I just think the entire US Highway system needs to be like the goddamn autobahn. That was SO much fun to drive on.

Interesting

In my country (especially in Metro Manila), the development agency is addicted to putting up U-turn slots (albeit some being poorly made/constructed).

Apparently, not many people are happy with a few of the U turns (are these the same as J-turns that the Brits often mention) as they have been placed in the wrong/improper or inappropriate places as well as the poor quality of construction

Given the nature of 3rd world/developing country like ours, you can expect that even till this day and age, not everything is computerized.

Especially at filing of vehicle certifications and stuff.

It's at a snail's pace (plus add red tape and bribery to that).

Unbelievable.

It's no wonder my country is in such a sad state that it is right now
