The law has such little power over the Internet that what's really going to happen is that laws are going to change. Companies don't want to admit this and it's going to be a struggle till the end before it happens.

Allowing them to force us is only going to give them the impression that they can get away with a lot more.

| so buy it on a cd or buy it through play.fm or a comparable service or pirate it from home on break or do without it until a satisfactory option becomes available, all of which are options available to any student who wishes to acquire music without running the risk of attracting attention
if a school demands that a student pay for music that they don't want, they have the choice not to go to school there, or to study harder and get a scholarship to defray the additional expense
golly this whole situation has all kinds of ways to avoid any hassle at all doesn't it

I depend on state and federal funding! If I don't have it theres no way I can actually attend college, The banks aren't going to loan me what my tuition actually is for 2 and a half more years.
In addition, I don't live on campus, would I still get "free" legal download services? Does this go out of its way to screw the 50% of students that are commuter students or does it properly screw us fair and equally?

I tried to check it out, but apparently you can only play their files with the Ruckus Music Player, which to me makes it feel like it's no better than listening to streaming music. What's the point if I can't put it on my mp3 player and listen to it while I'm getting screwed waiting 40 minutes for the campus bus?
