Generally if you get arrested at a protest in D.C. it's because you were a moron and stood in the street yelling or something, which isn't really kosher and ruins everyone's day. I like how we don't get to see the events leading up to the arrests, so she could have done absolutely anything. It may have been something minor like screaming at some passing cops that they were fucking fascist pigs but that's still not exactly smart.

Also I knew a guy who sounds like the cameraman and he was an abrasive autistic douchebag, so fuck him too in case they're the same guy

But at least I keep my opinion neutral until I hear more about it. I dont just go and harass police officers based on what a bunch of nutty looking women tell me is going on. Nor do I defend the cameraman when I have NO idea what is going on.

They were women who were protesting a pro-war rally.

People were speaking, and some of the protesters were saying things from the sidelines. Not harshly or rudely, but they were asked to let the rally go on in peace.

That was the reason they were being arrested; for disrupting the rally going on. Granted, I think they should have just been warned and told not to come back.

One of the women did actually get detained for simply flashing a peace sign during the rally, and that was pretty ridiculous.

However, the video is very biased and makes it out to seem like the women were simply sitting in a public place, holding their own rally.

this is ridiculous, why did the cops stand there all smug like jerks. god, our government is so corrupt, we don't even need em anymore. they just want money and power.. and to take all our freedoms away. patriot act anyone? .__.

Would you prefer that they club the cameraman? Most policemen are trained to ignore anyone filming what they're doing; responding to it won't benefit them in any way. In this case they were even in the right so, shit, what do they have to worry about?
