$300 for Zelda?

Twilight Princess is the only thing I want to play on the Wii for now, until Smash next year. Is it going to be different enough on the Wii to warrant a new system, instead of getting the GameCube one? As far as I know the only differences are the graphics, and you don't flail your arms to catch fish. If there's a chance of a pricedrop before Smash, I'd hate to buy Wii now for one game...

You're asking for a price drop on a game for a system that both have not come out yet.

Actually if you could read, I didn't ask for a pricedrop on a game, just wondering if there'd be one before Smash comes out sometime in (late?) 2007.

See, here's the thing: until the console comes out, we don't know. Nintendo's bright enough not to shoot themselves in the foot by saying "This will sell for $250 on launch day, and be cheaper in a few months!", so I'd just advise the good old fashioned "Would I pay $250 for this?" question for yourself.

If there's only one game on the system that has caught your eye, then it doesn't justify a purchase. If you can point to two or three games at launch that you know you'll enjoy, and you can see games in the future that will be good, then go ahead. Under the circumstances I'd say to get the GameCube Zelda and wait until Smash Bros. Brawl is available, by which time the system will have a lot more worthwhile titles.

Right now it's set for Q1 of 2007, which is in about the six month price range.

You should also be able to shoot your bow with the Wii-Mote. But yeah, if Zelda is the only thing you're going to look forward to, then go ahead and wait. I highly doubt the system's price will drop in such short amount of time. I mean, I think the 360 is supposed to drop somewhere around November, and it's been out a year.

Don't forget about the Virtual Console though. If there are games you wish you had that catch your eye, maybe it is worth it. But it's all up to you.
