7.0 ROM emulation thread (1st post updated!)

Rewriting this first post because it's old as shit.

Edge|Emu died and I rebirthed it on my own.

Visit edge|emulation for console emulation from everything old-school to GBA and N64. MAME is up to date and free to download (no donating needed!).

Also as an added feature every NES, GBC, and MasterSystem/GameGear game can be played online via Java emulation.

Donating is completely optional but clicking ads does make me some cash to fund the place. It's all out of my pocket right now, until I get more visitors and ads become profitable.

Here's the list of the GBA ROMs that the above website has
click on ^this^ link, and press Control and F to bring up a search window. type the name of the game, then click "Find Next" (click it over and over untill you find the game you want). look at the four numbers that are before the title of the game. now go to the first link i posted, and select the folder that has the number of the game [i.e. 1212 would be in folder "GBA Roms 1201 - 1300"]. then go down the list, find your game and click this . a new window will open up, and the link in it will say "Download #### - The Name Of Your Game.zip"

and there's your new GBA ROM

sadly, its tad slow of a slow site, im trying to download Riviera The Promised Land, and its taking about 6-7 minutes for an 11 meg file.

yeah, that website is normaly verry slow, and erevery once in a while if gives you the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" crap. but what it lacks in speed it more than makes up for in selection.

i'm looking for some faster sites so that no one has to wait forever just to get one little old GBA ROM

Lots of roms. Not GBA, but its better than nothing.

Also, if you are interested in rom hacking, Zophar's Domain has many tools and documents for you. Even if you aren't interested in rom hacking, there are plenty of emulators and also soundtrack rips from NES to Playstation.

Zophar's is so old and outdated... Edge is looking to replace Zophar in the ways of Emulators soon :P

Two that you've probably already seen on 6.0:

• Lockjaw: The Overdose (formerly Tetanus On Drugs) - tetromino game with psychedelic effects
• Luminesweeper - Lumines clone with customizable graphics and music, and a bonus Minesweeper clone

Two of my favorite ROM sites are EmuAsylum and RomNation. Both have very good selections; odds are if it's not one one of those it's on the other.
