So i just got a lite and i was wondering if it is really worth it. Will i get over it fast if i played the first one alot? should i wait untill the one for the wii comes out? opinions now.

I played it for about a month or two and finally got extremely burned out. I played it for 12 hours straight the second day I had it. I haven't put it back in my DS in months, nor do I plan to.

It's a fun game, but it got old fast.

I got burnt out on the first one after about 7 months, and started to get burnt out on WW as well (stopped playing for about two weeks ;p ) but am not quite there yet. If you liked the first one, you'll probably survive longer on the second. There's more to do, especially with fishing and animal interactions (they'll give you their picture if they like you, which is a nice collecting sidequest)

I am kinda torn, though, because that Wii one is coming and I don't know if I can do all these things a third time. Part of me wants to drop WW now and save myself for the Wii version, but there might be some sort of interaction between the two (which would rock)

I have only played the origional Animal Crossing. I thought it was really fun until I started skipping ahead weeks, then months, then years just to get the items I wanted. I tried collecting all of the holloween series. It took way to long so I ended up giving up and I stoped playing. Every so often I start playing it again though.

Yeah i really liked the first one and if wild world and the wii version had some interactions, that would be enough for me to get it. I might just go check it out later today.

I played the one on GC and it got old in about 4 months, the DS one, is ok, but if you want it for wireless capabilites, forget it @_@

That game is evil...kept making me play by making me worry about my town...EVIL!!!!

But it was fun for a really long time. Now I haven't played in fear of getting sucked in again.
