It says it is due out this December and I wonder if they are going to leave it a PS2 title are bumping it up to PS3
Either way I want to play it since I love the first one with its dating sim like features, a very nice game from GUST.
It had pretty good music and great artwork so I am intrigued but how much better it will be since Atelier Iris 3 was amazing in terms of art.
Anyway I am happy for now and must finish Disgaea 3 before then

...back to the AT2 bit, though. I sure hope the difficulty is increased. I mean, the game could have used a better story (I liked it, but it did feel a bit meh at times)... but what it REALLY needed was a harder battle here and there that couldn't be won with the simple abuse of magic. Also: Make the front line have a useful ability now and then without a massive HP hit. 10% HP for a minor attack boost? Useless.

also I have Mana Khemia just haven't played it yet
also I like the battle music it was interesting as well, I didn't finish the paths after you "beat" the game and I think I only choose Misha's path and not Aurica.
I'd don't know if they are going to keep that the same since it seems like there are two reyvateils (sp?) again.
Diving was my favorite part.

...Misha's better, though. At least I found her to be.
...and why would they give me only two girls to "date"? Really? They could add hours to the game if they'd just put more crap like that in.

Overall though, I'd say Ar Tonelico is waaaaay better than Mana Khemia. AT's pretty much been Gust's best work ever.

The hardest part of the Atelier Iris games is finding mana/components for items. The hardest part about Ar Tonelico is finding a reason to use the vast majority of special attacks...
Seriously. 10% HP for a minor one turn attack boost? What the hell kind of skill is that?

Most of what I've got out of it seems to be a pretty straight-forward RPG...but there seemed to be quite a strong userbase since most were all over Pram's Wish List for the LONGEST time begging for this to be released stateside.
Think the only other ones of note as of late is the rest of Marl's Kingdom being trans'd/ported and DLC for Disgaea 3. | |

It had some great music, also.

It'll be easier to port from there.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Rhapsody's completely different from Ar Tonelico.
At least the original was; it was a strategy RPG.
Since the new Rhapsody(DS) has been made into a traditional RPG(ech), it might become a lot more similar.
