Discuss your ownage moment while spending your hard-earned cash in the form of quarters and/or tokens.

€ 6 hours ago as of this posting, I beat Crisis Zone with 1 credit; had 1 life left out of 3. Final boss was cake compared to the knife and fat dude.

Beat the Simpsons' arcade game with one other person while spending less than $1 on continues. Love the game but man, it gets tough (for me) once you get to Dreamworld.

On one credit, in Galaga, Level 53
That's right, I got the Red V

The trick is to get double ships around Level 12.
Then coast from there, because the difficulty maxes itself out past Level 20 or so.

A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

Beat House of the Dead on 2 credits, using both guns at the same time. Not as impressive as with just one gun, but looks cooler.

Sweet, we've got some gunslingers here. My best on Time Crisis 3 is 1.9-somethin mil on 2 credits.

On a local Galaga machine (rapid-fire enabled, to get that in the open now) I got to stage 208 and finished with 2,293,860 points on 1 credit. Unfortunately, no camera or witness, or I would have Twin Galaxied it.

I used to be good at Star Wars Trilogy arcade, but I don't remember any of my scores. :/

I played on a classic machine (the flat one, if that counts), really kind of run down now.

I also used to be good at SWT, only beat Vader once though...kind of disappointing. Also, was yours the sitdown or the standup?

I beat Star Wars Trilogy(sitdown version) on one credit, including the Vader Fight and the Boba Fett fight.

I hate that certain machines have the controls reversed for the lighsaber fights, where pulling down pushes the lightsaber up.

I can beat Boba Fett no problem.
Vader though, for some reason on the machine I played on, the lightsaber would be kind of laggy...the frame rate would actually drop. It was a standup.

Oh, it counts. In fact, I'm impressed with stage 53. I've been able to pull 50 on a non-rapid fire machine once. People don't realize how much easier Galaga is with rapid-fire. Precise timing is such an issue in the regular game that it is better to just get double ships and fly really carefully with them. If your timing is off on the regular game, you're screwed after about stage 12 because the missiles get insane and the fighters speed up their descent after the first run. If your timing is off on rapid-fire, no problem, because you can fill the screen with shots at such a quick rate that anything on screen can get mauled before it descends.

I'm still proud of breaking stage 200, but man, I wish I could do it on a regular machine.
