There isn't one. 50 is the highest.

Apparently, the game locks after stage 255, but I don't know if this happens on every version. Eventually, I'd love to find out.

i guess it fills the memory space that says what level it is.

nothing to big here in the arcade. HotD 4 with 2 credits with my friend. a bunch of one handed accomlishments on Betmania CM2 and the final.

i guess i have to pay attention. 450 is my highest skiball score. lol.

A bit off-topic, but the best thing ever done with tickets at places like Gameworks and Dave & Buster's is having them put onto your card. I always lose the tickets themselves, so this way I can actually save up for something that doesn't suck.

Fun fact: Dave & Buster's has Pocket Rockets for 60K tickets. Who the hell thought that was a great idea?

The most impressive thing I have done is beat Super Mario Bros Arcade in the arcade.

You guys won't believe it, but Nintendo actually changed the maps to place pits in obscure places, and removed items from some secret blocks. Its nuts!

In many circles, rapid-fire machines are cheating. Unfortunately, the anniversary machines and the hacked Galagas have them on, and people like to brag using those accomplishments. Using rapid-fire, I can get to level 25, twin-ships, and without losing a single one easy. Without it, on an average day, I can get to level 23 and lose all my ships by then.

If you want to see past level 200, use the enemy no-fire glitch.

My accomplishments...Man, it's been a while.

Can finish XVSSF, MVSF, MVC, MVC2 without losing a character, and get all secret fights (on MVSF and MVC).
TC1, finished without losing a life or continuing, either 10:30 or 11:30.
TC2, nothing special, no lost lives, no continues, all yellow guys, 1.5 mil.
HotD 1 and 2, no-continue finishes, got the bonus rooms. Can't remember scores.
Crisis Zone, finish with no-hits. Not much interesting game.

For the hell of it...
Finished Deja Vu for NES in 30 minutes.
Finished Zelda II in 2 (maybe 3?) hours.

Hmm... I'll throw out some random stuff...

Time Crisis 2 - beat on one credit, hit once
Time Crisis 3 - beat on two credits
Beachhead sitdown - level 57 on one credit. Don't ask how, I don't know. Never have done it again.
as far as tickets go... when I was way younger, I got something like 1900 tickets in 5 minutes on a Smokin Token machine. It won me a $500 FAO Schwartz gift certificate.

Rapid-fire as cheating? I don't know. It is easier, and Twin Galaxies is right in listing rapid-fire scores separately from regular scores, but still...having played both, and admittedly done a lot better on the former (because there are more of those around) I'd say the advantage is there, but not game-breaking. You still have to be good at Galaga to get into triple-digit stages. What rapid-fire helps with is letting you be lazy about timing because you'll get to fire more missiles, and you don't have to be as good at dodging, because on early stages there might be a grand total of four or five enemies left to descend and fire.

To be fair, though, I will submit some scores from the regular machine. I think there are one or two left in town.

BTW, awesome time on Deja Vu! I could do that with Shadowgate, but I never even beat Deja Vu before the cartridge died.

I've seen speedruns of Deja-Vu in under 15 mins, not using an emulator either.
Yeah, with Galaga, I didn't even know there was such a thing as rapid fire machines. I hate the full cabinets. If it's not the table, it's crap to me.

Shadowgate can be done in like 15-20 minutes, my friend did it in 25, he forgot a few elements and had to go back and forth a few times, but it's definitely possible..just the ending before the final boss is a little tricky.

TG probably listed the rapid-rfire thing because it's listed as an arcade release (even though it was originally a hack, but made it into Namco's anniversary machine anyway). I've known of people bragging of getting crazy far in Galaga, but not mentioning they used rapid fire...because without it, they can't do squat. That's why me and a couple people I know also look down on rapid fire accomplishments, because it's just not as hard (granted, it's still hard to get to level 30+, but no where near as hard without rapid fire).

I'm pissed at TG, because I have submitted legit kick @$$ time attack for Time Crisis 1, and they never accepted it, and it KILLED the original time by a minute.

Fcuk them.

I can get to around level five or six on Magician Lord for the Geo on a single credit almost consistently. After then the god damned frogs kick my ass. Stupid frogs. :/

Also I've gotten good enough at KI2 to single credit the game and get a kill on every character as Sabrewulf. It's a shame the machine's busted now. Stupid monitor. :/
