Samurai Showdown, using Gifford (sp?) I can get to the final stage on one credit, and then get my ass kicked. That's american fighters for ya.

Ok guys, I'm sure you have seen L.A. Machineguns: Rage of the Machines at your local arcade. I'm still trying to beat that game with 1 credit. So far I can get past the first 3 stages, but I always lose somewhere on the 4th stage. (Yosemite)

But I got an accomplishment that I don't know if any of you guys could get:

Yes, that's 1.7 million on the 1st stage.

And to show you comparisons with other scores on that stage:

Not too bad.

Samurai Shodown (or Samurai Spirits) is Japanese, not American. The only American fighters that have a name for itself is Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct (unless I was misinformed), and War Gods.

Hrm, well maybe not War Gods...

A bowling alley here got a miniature Vs. cabinet that has Super Mario Bros on one side and Gradius on the other. I couldn't get past 6-3 on SMB, lol.

what was your best time for the full game? I got a 9'54"xx waaaay back in the day.

on the subject of gun games... 383k on House of the Dead 4 (one credit of course). I have a ton of other arcade accomplishments but I won't list them all :p

I can't beat 9:54, that's for sure, I'd say the best I could ever have done was 10:08, but I think it was closer to 10:15. I think most of my time attack was killed toward the end of stage 2 or 3 =/

Gifford is the American fighter with the Dog.

Ah I misunderstood you...and it's Galford. Kinda sucked in SS1-3 though. Crazy good in 6. Gifford is the last name of a talk show host.

Best arcade achievements
F-Zero AX - First place on all courses, using only my custom vehicle on my F-Zero card, NOT GC memory card!
Time Crisis I - Cleared with 1 coin and 2 lives (stupid Wild Dog)
Time Crisis II - Cleared with 1 coin and the lives I started with
Virtua Cop 4 - Cleared it with a friend, 5 coins used, extra stage cleared!

That's just about it. More to come!

I don't even remember how many Bust-A-Move games I have beaten on multiple credits, but I get 20-30 stages in on one cred, usually.

Beat SC a few times.

Don't remember too many other notable things.

Bust-A-Move Stage 38 on one credit
That one Star Wars shooter I've beaten on two with the first credit taking me about halfway through the last level
Police Trainer Made it from Patrol Man to 2 stages into Commissioner on one credit

That's all I can think of right now

that's still a very good time, and of course better than TG's "world record", hah. The REAL world record (from Gamest) is 9'35"05... that's just sick.

oh I'm reminded of a couple more arcade accomplishments.

Virtua Cop 3 - 99,999,999 multiple times (very easy game)

and I made a pretty awesome Commando high score list on an Ultracade machine.

I once beat the original House of the Dead with a score of over 90k and on one credit.

I also beat time Crisis 1 and 2 without losing a single life.

And I beat Police 911 on a single credit as well.
