New fighting game that recently got imported into my arcade.
The fighting engine's pretty unique. It's very slightly similiar to Meltyblood, in that there's only 3 attack buttons and 1 special button, which in this case is the Cancel button. It's basically used to cancel attacks (Homing Cancel), blocks to a slight dash forward (Guard Cancel), to chase after your opponent after launching them upwards, etc. You have 3 bars, separate from your super gauge, for cancelling, each cancel using up 1, and they take time to recharge.
My favourite part about the game, the characters. 10 girls. Inside joke between my friends and I, each of them represents a different fetish. We have Konoha, a chubby loli ninja, Kira, a catgirl loli in a swimsuit riding a slime, Saki (T3H REI), etc. We couldn't find anything discernable about Aino, so we just decided that she was a dickgirl.
What makes the game really fun and customizable, is the Arcanas, basically elemental spirits. Any character can use any Arcana, each Arcana having a set range of attacks. So you can mix and match Arcanas to a character to see which one suits her best.
So has anyone played this yet, or is it out in Japan only? The arcade I go to secretly imports stuff early like they did for GGXX Slash, which might explain why they have it.
