The guy at gamestop said to get the PS2. His reasoning was that Wii is more family, and hardcore gamers will be buying the PS2 version more than the Wii.

"Let's play Baroque!! That game's so fun!!"
"Wow we are just having a great time here! Thanks, Baroque!"
*PS the guy at gamestop is fucking retarded.

The Wii version isn't censored in any way, so the only difference is that the Wii has some idiotic motion controls that you can avoid by using a classic controller.
Who gives a fuck which is more "hardcore?" Is this some kind of contest?

They basically stuck a small coating of gloss on the Saturn version and called it a day. You also have to die to get more of the story and to make the Neuro Tower bigger.
I would avoid unless it's really cheap and you have money to burn and there's nothing else to play, which should really be impossible because jesus April has way too many games.

So, its not very good huh?
And yeah, gamestop employees usually really piss me off. This one was really friendly though, and didnt have that "I work at gamestop so I know everything, even though I swear that Phoenix wright was made by atlus" Attitude.

I don't understand why public perception of one or the other would make a difference. Quote:

Over at my store, we have at least one employee who has basic knowledge of most game systems and in-depth knowledge of usually 1 or 2 game systems, as well as in-depth knowledge of certain genres of games. Except though, Madden. None of us want to play it or give a shit about it, so we learn about it from our good customers who drop by every day to say hi.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were the guy who came to our store before last October and brought in an application, and when the Store Manager looked up and said "Oh hey, what's this an application?" he just responded with "No it's a piece of paper that only LOOKS like an application" and left. Needless to say his application was never considered. When I first met him he looked at me with disgust and questioned me with ridiculous attitude, "When were YOU hired here." I told him, and he looked at me while turning around then started walking out the store and finally looked in the direction he was going when he had to walk around $9.99 and under bin for Xbox.
In relation to the topic, I don't know anything about this game nor do I care since it isn't a blockbuster.

I can't help it that the majority of the people in this thread are Gamestop employees
the stores in my area here are all horrible
What I don't understand is how the employees (at least here) push sales yet they aren't commissioned
and the reason why you have to goto Wal-Mart is because Gamestop BOUGHT OUT ALL THE OTHER LITTLE GAME SHOPS IN YOUR AREA
we used to have about 3 mom an pop game stores and they all choked under Gamestop
In my area the gamestop employees aren't gamers, they are brainwashed sales people that only know what they learned in sales training
How can you defend that?

| So complain to Gamestop's corporate offices by calling the number that prints out on the reciept. They listen. If all you do is bitch, then you're not accomplishing anything. Quote: |

| Hey, it sucks to be them. Gamestop is competitive. It's a free market. Quote: |

| Again, CALL THE DAMN NUMBER. Mention the things that are relevant to Gamestop, make some noise around the people who matter. The District or Regional manager up there will more than likely do something about it. Pretty easily, I guess.

That was EASILY the worst job I've ever had in my life, and I'd rather chop off my testicles than do it again.

How can you defend that? | Hm, possibly because most "educated" gamers are lazy shits, so there are more game store jobs than gamers that want to work for wages.
Or, possibly because the employees at chain stores aren't paid to know their products left and right. (Does the employee at the liquor store know the best wine pairing for your special sauce ribs? No. He doesn't. Should the liquor store look for employees that know that shit? No.)
The increase in profits that a store may see from knowledge of niche games is not appreciable in any way shape or form, so why bother requiring employees to know shit like that? This is why your Mom and Pop stores folded. The market is too small for games that aren't "Madden or other blockbusters."
Gamestop offers the most organized selection of games, and for the most part, it offers the said niche games, even though its employees don't have to know about them. You should probably be satisfied with that, because everyone else is Pour boiling water all over yourself
