So, did anyone from here pick it up?

Thoughts if so?

I got it. I haven't played it online yet though. Single player is meh, dropped into a huge combat zone for most levels plowing your way through guys. The whole blow shit up feature makes it pretty cool, the destruction of buildings and such gets repetetive though. The one thing that stood out a lot for me was the gun sounds. To me they sound really good.

If I were to get something similar to this, then I'd still prefer COD 4 anyday.

And yeah, I'm pretty biased right now to BF2142 (even if there are some who are pissed about the fact that you need to log-in online first to use the game at all).

Too bad though that my shitty Pentium 4, 768 MB ram and Geforce 5 video card can't handle BF2142 without dipping into sub 20 fps teritorry

I played the demo for PS3, it was alright but it didn't make me wanna run out and buy the game. It'd be a good rental though.

Perhaps it may have been a better move if they had a PC version aside from X360 and PS3 versions (but I guess they didn't want to cannibalize sales of BF2142 Northern Strike pack)

Either way, I personally won't get this game as I have a hard time playing FPS on console controllers (yeah sure keyboard and USB mouse but these are being used all the time in my house )

im actually enjoying the single player mode well enough. i played the demo to get the unlock weapon, and i really think it doesnt give it justice.

the huge redeeming factor though is the online, its just simply awesome to siege and destroy with that many people. its a definite step towards more games incorporating truly destructible environments. the online makes it a worthwhile purchase for me, since BF2:MC was getting stale.

basically: "you want to hide behind a wall or snipe from that building, well fuck you. BOOM"

It's a cool game,
if blowing $#%! up is your thing,
yeah I'd think you'd like this game.

Get's boring after the Single Player Campaign is done.

I haven't tried online though cus my Xbox broke beforehand.

i hate the single player campaign. It really pisses me off and isn't that fun. Online is a lot better but i traded the game in lol
