Marketplace Rating: 0 | Been thinking about getting a PsP So, I have a nintendo DS, its fun and all, but I can't seem to do anything else BUT play videogames.
Now, I've been thinking about getting a PsP soley for the fact that I could do more much with.
I've heard of ways of being able to download PsP games and using them onto a PsP.
Thing is, has anyone here tried that, how would you go about this? What type of discs would you use to burn?
Link to a possible source for all info if possible.

Marketplace Rating: 5 | I've got a PSP up for sale on the marketplace boards. You should check it out. I'm including everything you ever needed for a great price. Not to mention i'm selling my 1GB card with it, so you can do tons of stuff with the PSP with a bigger memory card. The simple rom games you can download is easy. All you need is the USB cord and your computer. It's simple to get those games on it. You can also put the wallpaper on, and music, and videos. Many sites offer this material. Fun stuff if you ask me.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I've been considering one for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth(not to mention Lumines and all the RPGs coming out), but it'd be rude to do that to my DS when I still have so much to do with it.

Link to a possible source for all info if possible. | You can't "burn" PSP games. You have to load them to your memory stick, 2 or 4 gigs.
That's piracy and that's bad. >:[ You'll also need an older firmware PSP to do so, so you'll have to buy a used PSP.
There are downloadable demos (LocoRoco) that will run off the memory stick though.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Would it be possible to say just run it off from pc to psp?
Can't quite put the words I'm trying to say together.
What I am more curious about is the emulation
How does that work?
A bit more of the fun stuff to the psp seems to be more hush hush. Can you enlighten me on it?

Marketplace Rating: 2 | A 1.5 PSP will allow you to do everything. You can downgrade a 2.6 PSP or lower to 1.5. The ISOs are readily available on torrent sites, and there's a program called DevHook that will load every commercial game available. It emulates the 2.71 firmware, which is the latest firmware that has been released so far. I've been following "the scene" since the PSP came out, so if you have any further questions just ask. I'll PM you some things that I probably shouldn't post publicly. All of the emulators can be found on http://pspupdates.qj.net. You just load the emulator on to your memory stick, along with a few ROMS, and run it from there. It's very simple.
edit: Oh, and for everyone that says all the games suck, what are you talking about? The PSP has a ton of good games.

But how would you go about playing it? Would you need to buy your own UMDs or so?

Any alternatives for a cheaper one?
For example http://tr.searching.com/view.php?id=282260
the size is alot smaller then a 2 gig. Could it possibly be zipped up or so?

And contrary to popular belief, most PSP games aren't that large. Heck, Lumines can fit on a 32MB stick, if you took out the sounds.
