Combat Arms - free FPS

Wait, was? I stopped playin' CS and uninstalled Steam and shit about a month ago but even then they had a trailer for the game... It's supposed to be a standalone CS for Korea that they call an MMOFPS. I can see why since Steam did/does horribly there.

Still haven't played Combat Arms but I'm sure it's not an "Asian adaptation" of CS and is still more closer to BF2 or some shit.

Also come on, what did you expect for the name? It's Korea goin' at it, 'course it's gonna be a little funny. That damn Nexon go-kart game is called KartRider (which I used to play as well as that Bomberman clone; both very fun).

and since i'm not a big fan of the korean mmo profit framework in general (pangya is an exception that shit is off the hook) i don't think i'll be playing combat arms any time soon

Thank heavens for mentioning Pangya.......as I personally find it as the most fun and refreshing golf video game that I've played so far.

That applies to the PC versions (both international and Philippine local) as well the versions of it on the Wii......though they're all the same game itself so it doesn't matter much.

Anyway so I found out the fellas who made Tribes made a browser-based FPS as well called Fallen Empire: Legions, anyone play? I'll be giving it a shot later.

Wolfenstein ET is a classic.

Especially if you choose the No Quarter mod and those that allow for XP save.

I remember though that my brother was a member of GIX clan which had access to all GIX color servers. Pretty cool indeed.

Same happened to me with Audition, I expected since Maple story on Nexon was Global, all their games would be, BUT NOOOOOOO.

Managed to get into it eventually, but it was still a pain in the ass.

IMHO

Nothing wrong with Nexon.

They make good games (it's just Maplestory is kinda boring to me).

Combat Arms should've changed my perception of that and make it positive (as it was their proof that they can make something that is better than War Rock and Soldier Front/Special Force combined).

Too bad this region IP blocking bullshit ruined it.
