This is really cool news, especially since I haven't played Rondo. I'll definitely pick this up as soon as it's available.

Not giving 2 craps about SOTN, though. Played it and finished it 2 times some years ago, so I don't find a reason to play it again.

Seriously, though, there are some great games out there for the PSP (Lumines/Lumines II is our crack of choice) but you have to look for them.

Forgot if US PSPs can play imports, now that I'm thinking of getting the PSP when Rondo comes.

All PSPs are region-free. Game-wise, that is. Not movies though.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | there is no indication that symphony is getting any improvements, but maybe i missed something while reading the announcement. and yes having SOTN on the PSP is going to be the biggest draw.
but besides the SOTN port...
the rondo of blood thing....
I'm just going to have to pass on it. in fact, i'm VERY DISAPPOINTED in this "castlevania announcement." Generic 3d graphics just can't hold a candle to pure 2d sprite-work like SOTN and i feel that its simply lazy on the developer's part to go 3d. and giving modern graphics to a tired sidescroller isn't going to work.

Or did you mean you wanted higher resolution sprites?

This is really cool news, especially since I haven't played Rondo. I'll definitely pick this up as soon as it's available. | When I worked at EB Games, I sat down and played through the whole used game library of PSP games and I couldn't find one game I enjoyed. Granted I played each game for maybe 2-5 minutes each, but the point is, my decision to get a PSP was quickly reversed.
Although.....man.....now I'm basically forced to pick one up because this looks amazing...I'm VERY impressed with the 3D version...the only thing I thought was, doesn't it look a little bit more slow paced? I feel like he even swings his whip too slow. This could just be my eyes but it seemed that way. I can't WAIT to see the powers.
I have Rondo of Blood, and its definitely in my top 3 favorite Castlevania games.
But seriously, if you can tell me some games to check out, I'd be more than willing to give it a second chance (since I need to get one now anyway)

i dont even expect high resolution sprites, just NEW, nor REHASH.and yeah keep em lo-res, as long as its smooth.
Rondo 2.5D that's like Mega-fuckingMan X8 and Maverick Hunter X on PSP. and everyone knows hod well those games faired.
yes, i've played rondo of blood on emulator. i don't think it has aged well by today's standards.
