WHY DOES SEGA MAKE GREAT GBA (Battle was meh...) & DS SONIC GAMES & YET THE CONSOLE VERSIONS ARE STILL BEING PANNED?!

I've yet to play Secret Rings (don't know if I'll ever play the 360/PS3 STH), so I can't judge those yet.

Why can't they do something like the Sonic Adventure games again? Whatever happened to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Aside from Heroes, which (aside from the 4 teams being almost too identical) was good, after SA2, no 3D Sonic game (or Shadow The Hedgehog, but that's more of a spin-off, so we won't get into that) has been considered "good" by critics or most gamers. Sonic's known for one thing; SPEED. They achieved that in Sonic Adventure, they did it again in Sonic Adventure 2, but after that, not so much. They need to go back, look at how those 2 did it right, fix what was wrong with it, or better yet, ask us, the fans, what we want *coughSonicCD2cough*. HOPEFULLY, Sonic Unleashed will be good.

i didn't like SA2 for one reason, not enough sonic....
and it wasn't like the first one where you pick a character and play all the way through with him/her.

if it were like that, the SA2 would be among the best.

Thank you. There's the voice of reason. Linear gameplay gets old real quick these days, especially if the games build upon the same basic premise over and over again.

I stopped caring about Sonic around Sonic Heroes and evidently I'm right in doing so, the games before that were fine I don't understand how they could mess it up more
