Diablo II was great and all, but jesus, you should try one of the newer games.
Titan's Quest is a great game that is along the lines of Diablo, but expand on the idea and it's quite good!

It's not something I'd play now, though.

but really the game has been out 5 years now in the expanded state... isnt it really time to just play a new game?
Sacred was a pretty awesome Diablo clone, and they're making a sequel to it, in full 3d.
but if there came a diablo 3 i'd hit it.

Hopefully there'll be a D3, with the world stone destroyed at the end of LOD, the story's thrown wide open....come on Blizzard, you know you want to...
Slightly off topic: Anyone here read the novels based on the Diablo series? Those by Richard Knaak especially. I felt they were good.

You beat the same bosses in the hopes you find something that makes it possible to run that same boss a bit better.
I play WoW, and getting things is a big part of enjoying it. Diablo II that's much the same, but the content never changes, and what's there is a lot smaller. You don't get to fight a new set of bosses, new loot doesn't happen, and what you get is rediculously random.
At this point I think it's just that WoW has personally suprassed it for me. Diablo II is a treadmill that's simply too short for me, the repetition is just too high.
